I'm not interested in any of that nonsense anyway to be honest.

He's going to be a player though that lad. I'm surprised he wasn't involved with the first team preseason, a better bet than Kelly or Flanagan long term for the RB slot I think.

yeah it was a bit odd that, he went with the squad last year to the states (and did well against roma) so you would have thought he`d travel with them this year as well, maybe he was injured or something.
as a matter of interest john how many pro footy teams has belfast got? is it like liverpool with two or is it like london with a load of them?

Northern ireland doesn't have any pro teams mate! Which is why most of us follow an English or Scottish team! Belfast's 'big 4' is Linfield, glentoran,  cliftonville and crusaders.

Some players from the 'bigger' local sides will be on pro contracts but very few these days.

Linfield,  glentoran,  cliftonville and crusaders are regarded as the 'big 4' in terms of Belfast clubs.

Some players from the 'bigger' teams will be on pro contracts but very few.

cheers mate. surprising that about no pro teams.
i`ve actually seen us play crusaders in the european cup in the 70`s but i thought they were a team from the republic (unless there`s 2 of them).

2-3 some loose play from the reds defence  gives United something to go for ....Morgan's diving into everything and is lucky he's still
on the pitch .....great determined play from Borini to drive into the box ,could have got a penalty if he had went down.

A win over Manchester United is nice at any level and tonight was no different after two goals from Fabio Borini helped our U21s to a 4-2 victory.

The updates ceased  ,when I had to pick my idle sons girlfriend up from work .....  :(  Sorry lads

Borini looked really sharp tonight, even before he got his second ,but the star performers were Craig Rodden and Ibe for me .

saw 3 of the LFC goals....have to say it was more down to inept defending from the Filth.....keeper was all over the place for Borini's free kick from 30 yards......
still, it'll give him a confidence boost....

Any info on how Kelly and the new boy Ilory did?

Anyway, I haven't heard about that German lad Yesil in a long time. The kid is a huge potential, but he got injured last season and I haven't heard about him since.

haven't read anything on Ilori.  but hear rave reviews on Alberto

Richard Buxton ‏@Richard_Buxton_
Luis Alberto should also be considered for a start on Saturday if Philippe Coutinho is sidelined. Impressive performance last night #LFC

Richard Buxton ‏@Richard_Buxton_
Martin Kelly did well for #LFC u21s last night. Fitness permitting, he should be considered for starting role against #Saints on Saturday

Good news about Kelly.

Also, I think I'm one of the few that rate Alberto. I can see why others don't like him that much but I think that the kid will come good. Don't know if that hat-trick is a reason enough for him to start the game against Southampton, but a fantastic performance by him nevertheless.

Liverpool U21's beat City 2-0 with a peach from Morgan with Brannagan slotting the second ,solid performance from our new Spanish defender
Rafael Paez who looked assured all night ,and once again a strong display from young Rossiter touted by Fowler as the next Stevie G.
