How funny was that?
I nearly wet meself at what Houllier said to defend him... was sheer comedy and definately one of Houllier's better moments, the humour behind it all was top class!

I cried (seriously cried) when he went to Leeds, he was and always be my idol, but hes lost it, and its like watching your uncle trying to dance at a family party and making himself look like a fool, you want to stop him.

Doesn't make anyone a t.w.a.t. stu. Let me put it this way. What if he didn't play until the end of the season. But! he came on against the mancs as a sub in athens and got a late winner or scored the winning penalty!
[/B]Which would you prefer? I'd prefer the dream and rafa being a.
jaytoothetee wrote:stu, i agree with you that fowler is technically our best striker. as you love to say "the lad has ability".he has better awareness, vision, whatever you want to call it. he is far and away the best out of our four strikers at knowing where to be to get on the final ball and put it in the net.
but the trouble is, he just doesn't have the fitness anymore. he is lacking the pace to get across at the front post. the old argument about players like robbie is "he might not do owt for 89 minutes but then he'll pop up and score". but the sad thing is, after 89 minutes of football, he is just knackered. too knackered to "pop up". he doesn't have the stamina to be where he needs to be anymore. that's why he's past competing at the top level. it kills me to say this, but robbie's time is up. he will leave in the summer![]()
even so, i think he should get his send off. play him for the remaining league games, and let the fans thank him for all he has given the club
he was one of, if not the best of a generation. he will be remembered as a true legend. so, please mr benitez, let him have his glorious finale. i for one will be truly grateful.
robbie fowler. LEGEND![]()
