This I agree with. Rafa raised the bar in his first season, and from then on we all believed we could achieve anything. If Rafa will be remembered for anything else other than Istanbul, its that this club is still capable of achieving the heights.

Thanks for the best memories rafa.

In the world of football when "some" fans are so fickle they couldn't muster a puddle between them it's reassuring to know that for others at least we take a more objective view when it comes to how we judge our "servants".

Rafa Benitez has served this club through some it's most difficult years we have ever seen in it's history.

You can talk about Rafa's successes or the failures but whats more important is how ANYONE who serves this great club conducts themselves as a person and when you consider the tumultuous events he has had to forage his managerial tenure through it's nothing short of incredible that he's lasted this long tbh !

In 2008-2009 season LFC made history as the ONLY club in the history of the game to lose 2 games all season yet NOT win the League. The Mancs had to break another record (most games without conceding a goal, 13 to pip us to the League) They won 8 of those 13 games 1-0 (so much for free flowing United !)

A season later which can only be described as "Annus Horribilis" anything and everything that can go wrong went wrong and Rafa finds himself surplus to requirements. Whether that is through player or boardroom power is largely immaterial. Whatever you think on the issue you can be sure of this ........ LFC Fans have lost one of their own and if you take a look around the boardroom or the team who can you honestly say that about ?  ??? Carra most certainly, Gerrard probably and maybe Reina but other than that you would be struggling.

Thank you Rafa from a fan with a longer memory than the latest SKY update !

Walk on ................

Goodbye to a genuine man of the people ..... we watched you  swell with pride as your name resonated around Anfield ,the Kop sung it with the belief that you were one of our own ,and we will always think of you as such ..... you acted with grace and dignity in the face of the media glare

We know you genuinely loved the Liverpool people and you forever praised the fans so it is with heavy heart we watch you walk away into anothers arms ........... Thank you Rafael Benitez you will forever be remembered in revered tones as the man who made Liverpool a European great once more

Posted on behalf of Bam:

Thank you for the memories, thank you for putting our team back on the map, thank you for your fight in the common good of LFC, thank you for your dignity, integrity and humbleness while serving this club.

Thank you to a gent of a man, who is "ONE OF US"; loyal and respectful. And to a manager who will leave us with some of the best footballing memories ever.

Rafael Benitez 'You'll Never Walk Alone'

Go Rafa, you don't deserve to be in a place that is being sucked up, shrinking and getting dried up into a piece of :censored:
Gillet & Hicks have turned LFC into the biggest joke in football history. They are examples of how criminality works in football
