There are few managers around who don't make mistakes but Rafa's judgement seemed to be flawed in the latter parts of his tenure.

Rafa needed the structure I outlined in the CP thread, the mistake he made was wanting to be responsible for all aspects of the club for creating success -  clearly way beyond one man's ability.

Do you mean someone else in charge of transfers (buying and selling) ?
Do you not think that could create problems? I dont think thats ever really worked in british footy. Kenny has done the role before at celtic with Barnes, didnt work out. Thats the kind of setup you would need though, a young talented coach (maybe not Barnes  ) whos happy working under the likes of Kenny.Otherwise it just creates friction.
