Quarter final and semi final - Draw

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby woof woof ! » Fri Mar 14, 2008 11:44 am

Uefa spokesman has just said that "in this mornings PRACTICE draw the english clubs were drawn apart from each other, the odds on this happening again are astronomical"

Dont know about astronomical but they've certainly increased , or have they ?

Where's Dawsinio  :D

How many Premiership teams have we drawn in cup competitions and beaten under Rafa? With the exception of Arsenal and Chelsea (with the help of a Gerrard O.G no less) Rafa has proven that it really doesn't matter if they are domestic competition or not. Stop with the cheap shots. I had the same argument from a Manc supporter. Funnily enough, I brought these same facts up and the argument ended.

If we draw United, we'll beat them. Home and away. Chelsea? We'll do them too. Arsenal? Don't make me laugh. How many times have we bossed these teams in the league only for them to scrape a lucky win against us? We never had the edge. We have an edge now. His name is Fernando Torres.

its a joke hence the  :D  at the end.

but since you raised the issue about how many times we have bossed these teams, then i will raise the issue how many times have we beat these teams,

we get nothing for bossing teams and not winning mate

In the cups, we usually beat them. That's been a fact even before Rafa.

I don't care who we draw to be honest, let the other teams worry about drawing us.

This has been our competition recently and no one wants to play us in the champions league, you can bet on that.

We've beaten all the top foreign teams in recent years - Juve, Inter, Milan, Barce.  And we're the Premiership team most suited to the European style - nothing to fear.

Racing Post said there was 26% chance that no English teams would be drawn against each other.

So, for this to happen twice in a row would be 26% of 26% = about 5.5%

Hope this answers your question  :D
