dont know when it is that you actually started watching liverpool games but he's played well last season before getting injured... hes played well this season when given the chance... 2006 he played very well most of the time and finished the season playing 52 games and scoring 3 or 4 goals or something and playing very well in the champs league final..
so for you to come out and say he hasnt played well for this club doesnt really mean anything to me !

dont know where ur getting ur stats from but hes played around 80 games for us all in all.. first season he played 52.. last season he started off very well with us...got injured then couldnt get a game after he got back... but when he did he played well... this season he doesnt seem able to get into the team but again.. when he did he did well..
dont know about stats but i read somewhere that he was second in assists to gerrard in 2006 and not sure about last season.. this season he has 2 in 2 games... skip along

3 goals he has got , someone said a while ago what you look for from a wide player is 10 and 10 ie ten goals ten assists has he ever done that ? Kuyt gerrard and yossi did last season .  . Overall yossi babel kuyt gerrard all got better records than him from the wide areas . Even el zhar has helped create three goals this season . He may have the ability to do what you say but he has never done it to a consistent level . Arsenal got rid and he did well at a small club then got his second chance at big club and didnt take it well enough . Always had talent just doesnt put it on the pitch . And thats not even talking about his lack of tracking back .

I really wouldn't bother talking about his tracking back, because all wingers do that don't they. :Oo:

QUESTION:  Was Pennant better off playing first team for Birmingham every week or propping up the Liverpool reserves with the occaisional run out for the first team in iffy fixtures like Wigan?

I think if he was a man, he´d admit he was happier at Birmingham and put a atransfer request in.

We've got a lot worse at the club Reg. Include Benayoun under that.

Yeah then we move into a sphere of money talks louder than actions. How else could Chelsea for example have kept SWP quiet for so long in the reserves?

I'm not gonna say that Pennant is bad but he ain't that good. Nice player to throw against teams that parks the bus but he should not be first choice. Can we stop critizing the players every chance we got?

True.

But what about Kuyts ratio in the time he's played here.

Liverpool's hopes of offloading boozer Pennant appear dashed after Jack Daniels' party pics
By Sportsmail Reporter

Last updated at 2:17 PM on 18th November 2008

Liverpool are believed to be concerned that they will be unable to offload Jermaine Pennant in the January transfer window.

The out-of-favour winger was pictured guzzling Jack Daniels straight from the bottle outside an Essex nightclub on Sunday night.
And, although the club had given him Sunday and Monday off with the rest of the Reds' squad, Pennant's behaviour will not have endeared him to his suitors - Blackburn Rovers, Stoke City and Everton.

Sportsmail online understands that Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez is running out of patience with Pennant's lifestyle and erratic timekeeping and the pictures of the partying star will do nothing to to change the Spanish manager's mind.

The 25-year-old alienated himself from Benitez in the summer by stalling over moves to Rovers, Stoke and Everton. Two clubs agreed to meet a £4m asking price but pulled out over the player's wage demands.

But ,after Pennant lived up to his bad-boy image in Essex for the visit of Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan to Faces nightclub at the weekend, those clubs will be increasingly concerned over his professionalism. And unlikely to renew their interest in the former Leeds, Birmingham and Arsenal forward.
A Liverpool spokesman said that the club would not be commenting on the incident at this time.
