Puzzles me on here sometimes to listen to members talk such tripe ???  Owen's nothing special ? We should cash in on him ? The Fa Cup's not an important trophy ? It beggars belief in here sometimes it really does  ???

FACT - The FA cup is the most famous domestic cup competition in the world.

FACT - Whe we beat Man U in the Worthington final in 2003 Ferguson fielded his strongest possible 11

FACT - Owen is probably one of the top 5 strikers in the world

The Isle of Mann has only had Tv since 1999

And there was me thinking he was in Rwanda.

Click on my profile to check where I am from. My country has better economic success than yours! Give some respect.

Guess that you ppl can't take simple comments and opinions.
I have cable TVs and watches football matches and highlights from every football nation with a professional league. Do you?

Don't test my loyalty 4 LFC. I've been with the club for 19 years. I once bashed up a ManUre fan when "IT" said vulgarities to LFC when Fowler scored a screamer past the Danish Giant!

I will not and I don't deny how big it is back there in England. But FA Cup or not, the biggest is still the EPL trophy and CL Trophy. And EPL trophy is one of your domestic trophy. It represents the champions of England!

I still stand-by my opinion that Owen is not a top striker. He is just the best for the front 2 position in LFC. He is not one that you will put even in a Dream Team Reserves Squad B.
Even Rooney is better than him. It's up to the management to offload him or not. With all that crappy hype around him, he should command 30mil.

I welcome other thoughtful arguments but not sacarsm that spews out from a functional brain. We are still LFC fans.

Welcome to S'pore and I'll show you the other LFC fans here. Our passion for this club to be champions are overwhelming.

I've worked hard to get it as dysfunctional as possible :p

You tired Stu?  you just know my post makes sense!

Come on, owen is often a lazy bugger, and is only effective with ball at feet in the penalty box.And cant take a penalty! he was moaning how he wanted champs league footy, and kept missing penaltys and sitters.

What worries me with the solitary year extension is that this time next year we will all be in the same position - Worried and concerned of what is on Owens mind. Although it is near on impossible to question Michael's commitment to Liverpool, a year extension would still leave me pondering the question; "what would LFC have to achieve in 1 year to persuade him to sign for longer?"

I don't know how others feel about this? But in a way it seems like Michael is saying, the new man has got one season to turn it around. I don't know what signs or indicators Michael would be looking for in the forth coming season? What would be good enough to persuade him to consider a further extension this time next year?

At the moment, and any annoucement of a 1 year extension would bring the kind of feeling that we are just delaying the inevetiable (which maybe we are anyway).

Come on Mike, give us two years under a new gaffa.  We wont let you down.

He won't expect a complete change around , maybe just a far more positive Liverpool, a side that believes in itself. He obviously wasn't enjoying himself last season but if we start to show more belief and stick closer to the front and really challenge he'll be a lot happier and I think we already have a  squad that with 2 or 3 additions will give us a team that can mount a real threat in all competitions. Mikey just needs to know that the club is not stagnating but is going places. I wouldn't worry about it right now.:)

Ok...

13, 14 and 15 make me laugh. Good arguement there kid. Showing your unfounded knowledge of football.

11, not even a striker... pillock!!!

6? Morientes? haha, behave kid. Been linked with a move to the mighty spurs. Shows his class. Injury prone player, don't even think i'd put him ina top class catorgary let alone a world class one.

8... ok Bergkamp... now i know you're taking the ******. He's well past his best. He's now a good player, nothing more.

The others are mostly good players, however the order you put them in aswell as your arguement shows your lack of knowledge about football. If the mods had half an ounce of sense you'd be banned for being a know nothing arrogant t******.

The difference between me and you Pufter, is i actually know my stuff, my arrogance is backed up with a sensible arguement instead of a "because i say so so there" attitude.

When you grow up and start going to pubs, you speak to someone like that lad, they'll smash your face in. (oh no they won't because your a body builder i forgot lmao :p )

As someone else said, your "knowledge" can fit on the back of a postage stamp. I'm not the only one here who's saying you know ****** all about football, so wake up son. :)
