Newcastle ahead of us now...

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

The Toon beat Fulham 3-2 last night and are now ahead of Liverpool by a point.

Newcastle were supposed to be a team in crisis but even they are ahead of the Reds. ???

Puts things into perspective, eh?

I predict that the Toon will climb up to about 4th, staying there for the rest of the season, leaving the Reds with no Champions League spot once more (after all, Newcastle, UTD, Chelsea and Arsenal are the only realistic candidates for the Champions League if Liverpool don't get their act together).

Newcastle have shown what turning the corner really means.

The thing with Bobby Robson and Newcastle is that from now on, apart from the occasional blip, they will keep climbing the table and put their poor start behind them.

I expect Liverpool to make a recovery but I could see us going through another really bad patch between now and the end.

Thats the difference really.
