Thanks for that Lakesy mate. Top effort that. Must have had to think for ages before you posted that. Y'know what, you're right mate, shall we start a sack Rafa campaign? Let's face it he's had long enough eh? Get a new manager in right now, if he doesn't work out, we'll get a new one in for Christmas.

how many more can he put down to expirence

I really think it's going to be untill after xmas until we get some consistency.  The team has played some good football, we have NO strikers left, Gerrard has been out 2 months and we are still in with a shout in our CL group.  I say the manager knows what the score is, thats not to say we should let bad results like this pass and say nothing.  But i still have confidence we will finish in the top 4 and have a few cup runs.

What does it matter to them they still get megabucks at the end of the day there pay cheque is there every month  .
And leave us fans being clueless as why we support them. That was the worst liverpool performance ive seen in a year pathetic a ****** total disgrace, only one worthy of a red shirt on that pitch was carragher.
The rest well if I was Benitez they would be getting a ****** bollokin all the way home and all this week.
ok the better team won, i wouldnt mind if we gave it some and played some decent football, but it was a joke, Xabi givin the ball away constantly, Garcia well erm............
Gerrard bits of flashes cant say much cause hes just back, but after todays performance he wont be here long.
Very very sad dissapointing day, only hope on tuesday they turn things around against Monaco.
Im ****** gutted I really am :( .
I dont want to see Harry kewell playing for us ever again if he doesnt buck his ideas up, hes been here long enough and had enough chances.
If Biscan would have played today I bet the result would have been diffrent.

what the c*ck are you talking about...as soon as we had a bad game, this rubbish surfaces...what loyalty? what confidence? what support? what an absolute disgrace!

I'm cooling off now but today's game, Middlesboro away, MUST be the lowest point in our season. The boss needs to sit down with the squad and INSIST that we cannot have another performance like that for a very long time.

Obviously we cannot always play well, and of course we are going to have a few off days.

However, today was not an off day, it was an afternoon when 5 or 6 Liverpool players disgraced the shirt with a complete lack of effort and interest.

I slated Sammi in an earlier post and I was correct in saying that in a few crucial periods of the game, Sammi's game collapsed. However, at least we got an emotional response form Sammi who tried his best (and almost got himself sent off). Other players however looked like they didn't care, knowing that they'll be at home tonight watching their 60inch plasma screen tvs in their mock Tudor mansions.

Kewell's dive when through on goal in the second half (Southgate fouled him but Kewell could have stayed on his feet and attacked the goal) was a disgrace.

calm down people. i think we should calm down and take stock. we have a new manager who has bought new players over with him and we getting used to new tactics. the spanish players will need time to settle down to the hussle and bussle of the premiership. both garcia and alonso have showed good things so far and they will get better.
i am sure that the idea of full backs playing as wide midfielders is not rafas long term answer. i think we can all agree that the football has improved from last season. we have played well in patches this season, and we have played poorly. thats normal for a new manager. today was a poor performance.
our first target is the january transfer window. hopefully we can pick up a top class striker and a right sided midfielder. we must also learn to pick up points when we play poorly. the future champions will do this many times this season.
i think we are also due a little luck.the future champions will get it several times this season. we will not win the league but we might pick up a cup. lets be positive.

he never took a real intrest in english football till he took the job.
the job he would love is the  Real Madrid his whole life has been based around them.
he thinks he knows best and dont take any notice of anyone telling him he's got it wrong , he could have stopped Owen from leaving liverpool but said that Owen would never go but he got that wrong.
when asked about the history of liverpool fc he could hardly name any great player of the 80's (this was in 2003)

what I am concerned today is the effort put in by some key players, as if we have no chance in hell in matching Boro.
In midfield, we are always a step slower to win the ball, a feet shorter in heading the ball and when we are in possession, gave the ball away cheaply.
In defence, how many time have I seen Josemi got beat in pace by Zenden & Downing? Even the recently reliable Traore looked nervous, and it's no surprise Hyppia had a bad game...he never like playing against guys like Hasselbaink, Viduka and Ferguson type of players.
Up front, where is our striker. I would expect Mellor to be fielded after scoring 2 against Boro last week.
Away against Boro is never easy, but in the end, the efforts of the players made it too easy for them.
