Who is Remy? Yes, a winger would be as good as a striker. I had Bellamy in mind. Sorry for continually going back to Man City, but they have far too many players.

we don't know nan, maybe with Insua and Masch on their way he's decided that he doesn't want to stay. Bottom line is, we don't know.

Remy is a winger/ striker i guess you could say. He's quick, strong, both footed and would be a good back up for Nando and right wing.

Liverpool winger Maxi Rodriguez fits bill for Espanyol as La Liga hopefuls target loan move    27th July 2010

Espanyol hope to persuade cash-strapped Liverpool to part with Argentina winger Maxi Rodriguez.

The 29-year-old has three years left on his Anfield deal and only joined the Merseysiders from Atletico Madrid in January.

But Espanyol, where Rodriguez spent three seasons until joining Atleti in 2005, are in talks with the player's agent, according to reports in Catalonia. Daily sports paper El Mundo Deportivo believes Liverpool could be prepared to let go of Rodriguez, but the Spanish side's reluctance to pay a transfer fee could be a stumbling block.
Espanyol would prefer an initial loan deal with an option to make him on a permanent signing at the end of the season.

Personally I dont give a fig.  Give me a scouser any day who actually WANTS to play for this club.

Maxi has been useless for 3 years now.  He was poor at Athletico for the last 2 years and hast impressed at Liverpool.  Should never of signed him.

Bring in a left back, bring in a right back.

And make Johnson a right wing attacker to replace Maxi.

he was a desperate signing from a desperate manager. At the time, worth a punt.

dont' kid yourself, Johnson could never become a proper winger. If he could he would already have...

Isn't Kuyt's position on the right wing? Unless Roy moves him up front, though I think he's better on the right. I couldn't care if Rodriguez is sold.

The guy is arguably the most technically gifted player in the squad I think he deserves a full season to show what he can do. Just because you dont beat the man and whip the cross in time after time doesnt mean you cant play, SWP and Lennon do it all the time yet the Real Madrids of this world arn't breaking down doors to sign them. Its about the end product and I am hopeful that Maxi can deliver or at least do a job this season. In any case we dont have any money to buy a replacement!

cost nothing. good technically. Maxi will stay. Roy has only seen him for one day. Its a bullshite story. Im really hoping roy gives some of the youngsters a chance this year. Pacheco, amoo, kelly etc. Ince is  a bit too young yet. But they all look comfy on the ball and very mobile too.

TBPH I thought he would give us something more when he signed, as of yet he's done nothing really. I wouldn't be too sad to see him go, it seems many hold him in high regard because of that wonder goal he scored against Mecico.

Bottom line is, he's done nothing here and if moved on I won't be that bothered.

What did u expect him to do? Our whole team was in deep :censored: when he came in.  He actually plays some good one touch football, when deployed on the right side.  I think he and Johnson can form a really good understanding on the right side.

Cant believe people are slating Maxi, come the back end of the season he was genuinely starting to look a good player for us. Seems to me he's getting stick because he was involved in a season that was a pretty pants effort from everyone involved in LFC
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

He'd be alright as a squad player I agree, but we're not loosing anything from the first team by him leaving. And no I wasn't expecting him to uproot trees but loosing him wouldn't be such a big loss is all I am saying, compared to Mash IMO.
