Our most creative player. When he's in form theres always the chance of a goal. At the same time he often wastes possession and can look like he's never played with his team-mates before.

He played one bloody game. Hamann and Zenden? I know we're playing against Pompey but we shouldn't change things because of international break if it isn't necessary.

People went on about how Benitez makes too many chances and in the last two games we've fielded the same team and had a good balance. Why change it now? Hamann hasn't played well thus far this season in the Premiership.

The weather conditions and the pitch was awful in that spain game last night, and I love Hamann and dont want him to leave in January he needs games, he is more than capable to play against shi.tty Pompey.
Plus weve got the Betis game next week, so Zenden in for Xabi.

I didn't say Didi wasn't capable of playing against Pompey but he's no Alonso and neither is Zenden. By that I mean that the pair of them put together can't pass the ball like Alonso can, and Alonso has scored in the last two Premiership games.

Didi is not Alonso...Alonso is not Didi...both has their own playing style...u can't compare chicken with ducks...

They do have different styles and Alonso's style suits us better at the moment.

with hamman struggling, maybe garcia will play wide. thats wrong imo, as he is clearly better down the middle.

my confidence in him has grown, but it is not 100% (ala misses against sao paolo)

but he does try more

It will probably be Alonso and Sissoko in the center with Gerrard out right again judge, Garcia would play in the hole behind the striker if he is playing i think.
