More than happy with the signing BUT ! let's not get carried away guys. I certainly hope he can explode onto the scene but don't want to over hype his arrival . It may take time and a pre season before we see the fella deliver what we all hope he can.

Big part of how he beds in is whether he speaks English or not, Klopp wants all players to speak English on the pitch and was a reason why Keita took time to get in the team. I tried to do a google search on whether he speaks English but I didn’t find anything. Considering his upbringing I’d say probably he doesn’t.

Cheers mate. That's good news, we might need him at some point. Think he'll probably take Nat's place in the 23 player squad though, since he's gone on loan, rather than Minamino's

I see they got beat  :(
No shame in losing a WC qualifier 1-0 to Argentina in Argentina though. Tough place to go. Not like us playing Malta and San Marino etc etc

NEW: Daniel Levy was left so furious over Liverpool’s move for Luis Diaz that the cordial relations he has enjoyed with FSG may have been seriously damaged. Some sources believe it could lead to a period of hostility between the two clubs. ⁣

Liverpool were delighted that Spurs had effectively negotiated the price down for Luis Diaz to a fee they were willing to pay, having baulked at Diaz’s €80 million [£66.8 million] release clause earlier in the window.⁣

He will never learn English if he's hanging around with Robbo

Anyway its looking like he will play some part tomorrow which I can't wait for.  Best of luck to him  :buttrock

Looked lively I thought, showed great feet in a tight space for Taki’s goal.

I think what's exciting about Diaz is that he's  scored 14 goals in 18 games as a traditional Left winger in a 4-4-2 formation at Porto. Imagine the numbers he could hit playing in a front 3.

I did notice against Cardiff he started off playing really wide like a traditional winger, but soon found himself playing more centrally as the fullbacks were pushing up.

It looks like Colombia also like playing with 2 strikers.. so it really is like learning a new position for himself.

Really good debut from him tonight with so much to be positive about. Knew exactly what was required and handled it really well. Linked up with Robbo quite well also.  Unlucky not to have capped it off with a goal tonight.

Yes, a good start. He seem to bed in very quickly and play like he has been playing in this system as long as all the others. Quick feet, quick mind and looked like he belonged in the team. You would think he will only get better as he gets more confident in the team and takes more risk with his forward play.

He will bang in goals just a matter of time, looks natural and settling in nicely. Tough, strong, quick lad.

He looks good already and he can’t speak English and has only known his team mates about a week. Going to be big player for us going forward this lad.

Based on the last two games it would appear that Luis Diaz has a real brain for the game. Very strong on the ball. Extremely aware of what is going on around him. Certainly not frightened to put in a challenge. His attacking instincts also appear to be very impressive. Well done Luis and welcome to Liverpool FC the most decorated club in England !!
