so did you slag off gerrard for being shi.te in that game as  well as he spent most of the game in essiens pocket ? he did nothing all game and poor defending lost us that game not lucas . A young 22 year old is always going to struggle up against 2 world class midfielders and one who used to be classed as such .

well considering that was one of only a few bad games that Gerrard has had this season, im a lot more inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt. Also the fact that ive lost count of the times he's saved our skins over the years. Lucas on the other stinks out the place pratically every time he plays! Comparing Gerrard to Lucas whats next?  :help

No you just wont criticise any Liverpool player, no matter how bad they are. I bet if we sold Lucas tomorow, you would be on here saying how rubbish he was

So why is it that when i criticise a player you like im "slagging them off", yet when you criticise a player your being constructive? hows that work then

Lucas is at best an average player.

Hes not very good at tackling, passing or shooting.
He gives the ball away cheaply and gifts free kicks and penalties
He is not very creative or fast
He doesnt take players on or stamp his authority on a game

What Rafa sees in him is still a mystery to me

That about sums him up I think. Hes had time, he just hasnt improved. He shows no sign of having the passing ability of Alonso, or the dogged determination of Mascherano or indeed the drive of Gerrard, he is an average midfielder who would fit in with a lower league much better than the premiership. He gets it right on occasion, but is caught out much too often.

I'm begining to see something in lucas , he's getting better i suppose . I hope we wont sell him or buy another midfielder .That money could be spent better in some other position , would be happy to have him here as long he does not complain about playing behind masher and alonso . He'd be  one of the player to watch on the next season for me .

Babel was for the player to watch this season for me , got very disapointed .

Gifts penalties ??! he conceeded one so lets go not go overboard and he gave away one crucial free kick as well .

He wont have the passing ability of Alonso nor the Determination of Masher nor the drive of Gerrard cause if he did he would be starting ahead of them not be a back up to them .
