Our scouts must have seen something in Lucas's play before we signed him - just trying to work out what the it was.
I don't agree with booing him - but I do agree that he shouldn't be in the team.

Lucas needs to up his game and impose himself more. I think there is a decent player trying to get out, maybe he just needs more time or confidence before we see the best of him.

Is he ever going to be up to the physical side of the English game? I think he's a victim of being bought maybe too early, not getting in ahead of established names and then struggling to make enough of an impact. He wouldn't be the first Brazilian or South American to struggle in the English game, didn't the mancs sign two - Veron and Kleberson?

It may be the same game in rules, but it can be very different from one league to the next. Even English football can differ from one league to the next. It doesn't help Lucas' cause that Rafa paid £5m for him, the kind of price Rafa has paid too often for players and we don't get the quality we really need NOW. I say buying South Americans, Africans and Asians is a risky business, the very best might make it here, but some of those that impress elsewhere flop bigtime - no better evidence than Houllier's signings (Diouf, Diao, etc)

Back then when we signed him last season, i do believe that this guy maybe can bring something to the team..but after one and a half season, i can't say the same about him. Maybe he was good in other league but i can't see he's becoming the player he was in this league. And it is safe to say you can hardly see him having a good game this season...and also, he gave lots of unnecessary fouls which cost the team... The reason Rafa gave him lots of playing time didn't help either. It's just making things worst. When the team were in a dire need of a goal or more goals, Rafa took a striker off and brought Lucas him instead. What for? he's not a creative attacking midfielder/playmaker. It wasn't helping the team. If the Gaffer can give this guy a chance, then he should give it to Keane too. I think we should be more aggresive , attack more instead of bringing another defensive midfielder in order to be more cautious. Bringing Lucas in doesnt help either way, cautious or not.

Well in future if we are gonna sign the likes of lucas...hope the manager takes a look at same of the players in the academy. It isn't that difficult to find someone there who is similar to lucas...

I was reading this forum for about 5 months and I`ve seen so much various things. I saw so many quality posts from quality posters and I saw few clueless people. Quality posters were saying the same things when we were first,or when we lost some games. It`s called SEEING THINGS CLEARLY. Remember these Lando,Leon,Emerald "We are top of the league FFS,enjoy it". Well there are people who can`t enjoy being first in december when it is clearly that we are not good enough. And these people shoud be more respected(including myself).

I am not disapointed with today`s result. Shitt hapens,even when there is no Lucas in your line up,not to mention when he is there. I am right,I know that. Rafa is the worst manager for buying players,he is making shitt subs,he wants to control every single movement on the pitch,so players have no freedom,also on top of that,very negative manager. And there is no disscussion about that. I said it when we were 3 points clear on top of the league,I am saying it now when we are almost 5 points behind,out of FA cup! That`s the Fookin FACT,he is not up to it! No debate,no disscussion. If anyone thinks different,he shouldn`t be taken seriously.

Today we looked actually good in some parts of the game,but generally,through season... OUR WINGERS ARE NOT CHANGING POSITIONS AT ALL-that is ridiculous. CMs are allowed to make only safe passes,players are in rotation machine,so they are inconsistent... rafa is making contra-efect with his decisions,no doubt about it.


At the end,we should get rid of him,cause we are so fookin boring,it is not just the results.


AND LITTLE REMINDER... I was saying that we will be playing shitt football,until we are out of the title race. We will play better football when we are 10 points behind,when Mr Benitez concentrate on CL and let the players to play some proper football. It is happening every year.

Mate, Lucas is bollox. He should never be allowed a starting berth ahead of Mascherano again, ever, unless it's completely forced. Rafa is an eejit for even starting him ahead of Mash earlier, and worse, leaving him on the pitch after he'd been booked. We were swamped in the Evans/Houllier era with players of this caliber constantly making f&cking silly and completely daft schoolboy errors costing us games. Get shot of this tube ASAP, Rafa. You did it with Keane. Do it with this muppet. Not good enough for us. Not ever.

Lucas has some talent yes he could kick a ball run his ar$ off and pass but what he lacks is intelligence and maturity. Maybe it because he is young he makes these mistakes but the annoying thing is they are fecking costing us.
