Why you would compare any team to Barce, especially an English team, is beyond me.

Barca?

two players

Messi and Xavi, nuff said.

Of the players are important, but I think it is also the way the game is designed and the kind of movement that goes with it. Ours is just simply lacks the edge you need to beat a defensive side.

We can cross the ball all we like, its all dependent on everton making a mistake...
Floyd stepped left and threw the hook that caught Hatton flush under the chin. Finally, the British champ had arrived in that mythical place of which his fans speak: Hatton Wonderland.

I would have put on Keane as a second striker since Torres looks like hes up against the whole world atm but apprantly Keane isn't on the bench!

That was an astray ball like any good midfielder can do within an otherwise good game.

In my opinion Mascherano isn't playing badly at all, neither is Alonso or Gerrard despite the odd mistake.

But at the same time I must say I don't like how the team as a whole is looking right now.

Come on reds!

Sabre none of our players have played well..they have been a disgrace to the shirt mate!
DISGUSTED!! :no

I think we have won the midfield battle first half, just not shown any real creativity. Babel isn't helping by moving inside. While this allows Dossena a lot of room, we are winning nothing in the air. I would ask Babel to do much more running second half and stretching them down the wing.

FFS

Not good, we need to get a goal soon. We need to keep getting the ball into Dossena's feet out wide as we need width to stretch this sturdy back four out. I wouldn't want to be in the Anfield dressing round right now though :O

Need some of our players to grow a set of balls and try to skin players to get into wide areas of the box. All that f*cking about on the right for the inevitable floater into the box is just boring the tits clean off me. Too many square passes across the center not really going anywhere. No urgency at all. Rafa doesn't need a change of personnel; he needs a change of style of football in the last 3rd of the pitch.

You would think with all his pace, Babel would run at everton and commit their defenders, but he does the usual punt ball and try and outpace the left back.

It has never worked.............he seems void of ideas................like the rest of the team.

Torres isolated and fed up on his own. Get Keane on, least he might pull some defenders away and create some space.

Poor poor performance

Babel is a real waste of talent...he is a real diamond in the rough....but think he is in the wrong club. If he was in arsenal, he would have developed better.....

Here he is coached more on defensive work than attacking work....
