I can't figure why tevez was on the bench quite a fair bit last season . He's a cracking player and these season due to injuries to ronaldo he has been playing more . Well rooney can't score in a whore house but knowing him he might score against LFC , so i think he will play behind the two strikers or out on the left wing , i think he has played in either of those positions before , tevez and berbatov upfront and ronaldo on the wing , either that or fergie will only play 3 of them . Rooney and berba/tevez upfront and ronaldo on the wing .

As for us , No youngsters please , if stevie and torres are not fit to play than we have to play defensive , play masch and alonso to hold the defense , play lucas as well but with more defensive instructions , the only way i see us getting a win against them is from set pieces and on the break especially if babel plays , his pace will be what manure defense will be worried about , i do however think that at least stevie will make the game with us reverting back to a 4-5-1 formation with keane up front on his own , 2 natural wingers , riera on the left and babel on the right

I thought  Giggs and Anderson were both doubtful as they're both just still coming back from injury ?

Did anyone hear Kenny on Talksport this afternoon, he was chatting to Alan Brazil about the game on Saturday, Kenny told him that Berbatov would not play Saturday because he got injured last night playing for Bulgaria, they even announced it on their sports news :D :D . Then after doing some research they discovered that  Bulgaria didn't even play last night, and that he was fully fit

Man Utd have edged us - Carragher

Carragher has been playing for the first team for almost 11 years
Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher admits Manchester United have been better than the Reds in recent derbies ahead of their home clash on Saturday.

The Reds have not beaten United in the Premier League since 2004.

Carragher, 30, told BBC Radio Merseyside: "I'm not a great believer in being lucky or unlucky. I'm a big believer in 'you get what you deserve'.

"United over the last few years have probably edged it with us and small details in football make a difference."

The former England international added: "That's why they've been better than us and that's something we need to liven up.

"It's a massive game, United and Everton are the ones you look for when the fixture list comes out.

"Hopefully we can get the three points and that will give us a bit of confidence for the season ahead."

Manchester United have won three of the last four league meetings between the two sides on Merseyside by a single goal, with the other game since Rafael Benitez's arrival as manage a goalless draw.

I don't think they've edged it in effort, or frenetic energy. They have though quite simply been the better side for longer periods in each game. Last year at Anfield was a good example when the concensus was that we "battered" them. For sure we forced ourselves on top of them by sheer force of will, but all the quality interplay, all the posession football was from them. Once they'd scored, it was only in the dying seconds when we got a free kick generously awarded on the edge of their box when I actually thought we might score a goal. Men against boys was my call at the time.

The thing is with them, everyone goes at it hammer and tongs against them. For most clubs much as it sticks in my throat to say it, them coming to town is the biggest Home game of the season so everyone they play is "up for it", much in the same way it used to be when we were the best team in the land. So the result of that is that the highly charged, frenetic football which we tend to play against them is right in their hitting zone. I'd like to see us a little bit more considered this time around, play with a bit of intelligence as opposed to ripping into them from minute 1. Something akin to the way Mourinho used to set up and play against them would do me, solid, organised and if we do get a goal, defend it properly.

Berbatov set for debut at Anfield

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson expects Dimitar Berbatov to make his debut for the Red Devils against Liverpool on Saturday.

Berbatov completed his long-anticipated move to Old Trafford from Tottenham on the final day of the transfer window.

The international break has forced Berbatov to wait for his United bow, with the striker having played for Bulgaria in a World Cup qualifier in Montenegro last Saturday.

He has been training with his new club this week and is battling to be involved in Saturday's trip to Anfield.

Wayne Rooney and Carlos Tevez are also hoping to feature against United's title rivals, with Ferguson yet to make a decision on who will start.

However, the Red Devils manager will hand Berbatov his first appearance in a United shirt at some stage of the weekend encounter.

Ferguson told Sky Sports News: "We've got to look to see how all the players come back from international duty, that's the first thing, but he's sure to be involved."

Riera will be fu'cked into the cauldron, what a debut to have! :D
LFC vs UTD,one of the biggest matches in club football.I just hope he's up to it.
Fresh from Spain and into potentially one of the most physical matches in the world.
Considering the fact that it was said he was'nt up to the physical aspects of the EPL last time it seems dodgy.
I cant wait to see how he goes,I wish that lad the best and hope he has a blinder and if he's still on fire like Leon says,at the end of the game he hugs Neville!!

As usual spot on. Dont need to add more.
