Nan - at the end of the day, some top managers will accept a 2 year contract - even if it means
we are a stepping stone for them.

It's a 2-way thing.

Woy would weally like it - and if not - twy Wodderwick!

I honestly don't know who will be in charge next season.... but the way I see it, there can only be one logical choice and that's Kenny....... But with T&T still in charge..... god only knows what they'll decide.

I'm going to say we're going British - it's gonna be fookin Roy - gutter, cant say I'd be pleased

I'm not convinced it will be Hodgson. O'Neill might come or Van Gaal.

This just goes to show you what kind of idiots are running the club, everytime a manager gets sacked at another club the people that do the sacking have already given the job to someone else who has agreed to take over the reigns.

But in our case they havent got a feckin clue who to hire, who they want or who will accept the nightmare of the job at LFC. The whole thing is a shambles.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Kenny Dalglish 1/2/2011

REST IN PEACE PHIL, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.

everybody has known for weeks the likelyhood of Mourinho leaving Inter in the summer but yet they get shut of Rafa two days after he`s safely out of the way, whoever we end up with will have to toe the G&H line and not rock the boat and be prepared to win us the league on a shoestring, no change there then.

I don't think posters would be so upset at the idea of a Roy Hodgson or a Martin O'Neil if they knew Gerrard and Torres were gonna give it anbother season regardless? The catch 22 is we probably need a big name to come in to keep these two at the club and that's why we're bricking it at the prospect of Hodgson being brought in despite the fact (on a day to day basis) he would be a massive upgrade on Rafa's performance this past season.

I don't even think I can answer the thread starter because I simply don't have a clue who the new man is gonna be and I don't think Kenny or the board have much idea either.

Van Gaal is still my biggest hope. I'd be absolutely DELIGHTED if we could land him.

Of the British options I would take Redknapp but I really can't see him leaving the couth coast (he has a luxury pad at sandbanks) for a club up north. Mind you this is Arry we're talking about.

Not sure I want Redknapp, he is too much of a Del Boy for my liking. You would never know how long he would be around for.

Besides, why leave Spurs? He is happy down south and they are in the Champions League.

I did note Kenny was in charge of the ROW side that played England in the Soccer Aid game over the weekend, Rushie was his assistant. A pointer perhaps?

Thank god for that,

Redknapp not interested in Liverpool job

June 8, 2010

Harry Redknapp has spoken for the first time about the Liverpool job, and told Soccernet that he is totally committed to Tottenham Hotspur.

Redknapp has been linked with the job vacated by Rafael Benitez, but he is focused on matters at White Hart Lane, where he feels settled, even though he only has one more year left on his contract.

Instead of putting himself in the frame for the Liverpool job, Redknapp believes that Kenny Dalglish is the best man to revive the Reds' fortunes and galvanise the players.

In an exclusive interview with Soccernet, Redknapp, who was named Barclays Manger of the Year having guided Spurs into the Champions League for the first time, says: "I am not being presumptuous turning down Liverpool, because I haven't been offered the job and haven't spoken to anyone about it.

"There is no need, as I have one year left on my contract at Tottenham and I am not thinking about anything other than being at White Hart Lane next season. I can tell you that I have not been offered a new contract, but that doesn't mean I am looking to move on - far from it.

"I am loyal to Spurs, I want to stay at Spurs and I have a contract with Spurs, and I'd be happy to sign a new contract at Spurs if I was offered one, but in any case I have one year on my contract."

On who would be the best man for the vacant Liverpool job, Redknapp added: "Why not give it to Kenny Dalglish? I am sure he would want it, and why not? He is Liverpool through and through. He would be a good man for the job.

"He has experience, he knows exactly what is needed at Liverpool and the players would love it, especially someone like Steven Gerrard who would, I am sure, respond to the appointment of Dalglish as manager there."
