POMPEY VS LIVERPOOL - Last game of the season

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Cool Hand Luke » Sun May 07, 2006 6:40 pm

Liverpool have made huge progress this season. 82 point is our best points total in the Premiership ever, and would have won us the Premiership 4 times and made us joint winners once in the past 10 seasons. We had a dodgy start were we were not creating chances, had the league started in October Liverpool would be champions, this shows our improvement through out the season.

Last season we finished 37 points behind the champions, this year we finished 9 points behind the champions. We have achieved 24 more points this season than last season, won 8 more games, lost 8 less, scored 5 more and let in 16 less. We have made a lot of progress and hopefully we can build upon this next year and improve further.

It looked like he had broken it, he was in a lot of pain but it was just a painful twist in the end, he's doubt for the final tho.

i think you must refer to his physician suggestion to make sure of this

I'm going by what I've heard and the fact that he walked out to the dug-out suggests that his injury isn't as serious as first expected.

And even Liverpool have said he's a doubt for the final but he mite well recover in time, so who knows.

If he had broken his ankle he wouldn't had been able to walk back into the dug-out on the bench. He was in pain but he claims that he will be fit to play.

We'll see for certain once he has a scan, hopefully he won't miss the final because he deserves to be in it *touch wood*

Not only that fella, but we finished the season with 11 straight wins in all competitions, which is a club record  :)

Apparently the Fratton Potato Field is to blame.
