Liverpool best midfield in prem - When gerrards back

.. Alonso was touted as being technically equal too if not better then Gerrard.. certainly he's range of passing and vision has given the team so many options.... and he is running things in midfield so nicely ... it's early days.. but Gerrard and Alonso will be a frightening prospect for any opposition.. I also think that Cisse seems to be more effective on the flank.. and Baros is finding his form.. looking like he was in the Euro champioships.. with Alonso and Gerrard's passes to feed -off things look positive...indeedy.. :)

BTW Lynds infitrator detected in your thread.. shall I call rent-a-kill... ???

Alonso is miles ahead of Gerrard in a technical aspect.

Gerrard and Alonso I would say IMO potentially the best central midfield in the world. :cool:
Smith to Shankly:My thigh is a bit sore,but I think I could play.

Gerrard and Alonso are certainly a formidable pairing in the centre ...Potentially the best as stu says, providing Gerrard will remain there and One doesnt replace the other. Just a pity they dont have a Pairing like Giggs and Ronaldo outside them  :D
