i agree with this. the whole mascherano transfer is dependent on the balotelli transfer going through. he only wants £180,00 a week so it shouldn't be a problem.

Dont mind Hleb to be honest , liked him alot when he was at Arsenal. good player , can put a tackle in, his work rate is solid, and i havnt seen him play for a while but when he was at Arsenal he never seemed to lose the ball , he is a cultured player and i wouldnt be to upset if we got him and 15 million, aslong as that went on a striker, TBH i would prefer a player plus cash , because thatll keep the other twos greedy mits of the lot of it,

I suppose he could do a job on the wing but with Kuyt, Maxi, Pacheco, Jovanovic and Babel already vying, plus Cole and Aquilani through the middle, we risk overloading ourselves. If we didn't have Maxi or Babel, or if we hadn't signed Cole, I'd be all for it, but the priority really has to be strikers. One, if not two. We haven't had much news of another left back, either, which is also a priority.

People seem to forget ...as soon as this fella took to the field for the first time in a Red shirt he developed  an unbreakable affinity with the fans ,he was always destined to be one of the fans favourites .... its also apparently easily forgotten  that a player needs to be a special kind of character for the Kop to sing his name after one game  ,lets face it the Kop is as a whole not easily deceived ,Our fans instantly welcome and accept a player with heart and passion, and Mascherano had this in abundance ..... and it will be a sad day and even sadder that its an indictment of the times we our now forced to endure that he will be allowed to walk away .....
I for one will miss him when  he eventually does  ....

We paid big money for Mash and whilst hes done a decent job I wouldnt say he has been outstanding value when you set his fee and wages against performance levels. That aside hes been looking to bail out for last 18 months. He can go where he likes for all I care, and as for Hleb I would be surprised if any swap deals take place as they seem on the wain these days. Agents dont seem to like get involved with other deals and would sooner concentrate on their own clients affairs otherwise the whole thing could get messy with all that money being shared out. If it does transpire Hleb is a fair player in his own right but not sure hes a piece we need at this stage.
