DALGLISH - TOP MAN!!!
We gotta be aiming as far up the league as possible. It makes no sense whatsoever to want to finish low in order to be rid of the manager. It seems that some are forgetting that there is NO GUARANTEE that the board will move Houllier onwards or upstairs should we fail to qualify for the CL. just think on a little boys (and girls).:)

I don't think we'd make a big impact in the CL with the current roster of players, as we are already struggling in the Premiership to even get that fourth berth.

But I'd still want us to finish as high as we possibly could this season.

We're no better than Charlton (either last week or looking at the table over 30 odd games) . I don't think we'd qualify for CL unless we drew a Bulgarian team, a French/Dutch team would probably beat us.

Getting 4th may save GH's job, it makes me wonder if 10 teams qualified for CL, would that be success?

The funny thing is guys...
If we get fourth place Houllier stays and more than likely we won't last too long. If we don't manage fourth then Houllier goes, we have massive clear out and get in a new manager. Probably then we'd have a grat CL team..
What to do, what to do

It's a shame though. I like Houllier a lot but he's in need of some inspiration, maybe a younger coach under him to rally the players up. Maybe we just need a new manager. I dunno! Too confusing ???

of course i want us to finish 4th. champions league football is a financial MUST for this football club. also, if we want to attract top players i.e. mexes, we need to be in the champions league on a regular basis. how well we would do is open to debete. i think we would struggle with the current side personally.

The word on the streets around the Academy is that Houllier will stay around for another year and thenmove UPWARDS , believe it or not, and a Dalgleish/McMahon partnership brought in.
Please God Morgan gets in and sorts the sorry mess out.
