It did make me laugh how much he was moving before the pens were taken. For that first save, he was almost halfway to the penalty spot by the time he saved it.

Not to take a single thing away from the guy tonight - after the Maldini handball and the non-red card when Gerrard was brought down, we deserved a couple of ref oversights like that.

And that double save...wow! Whether he knew about it or not - that second shot would've taken many keepers through the back of the net with it. He was upright, in the right place and his hands were strong. Another keeper in the same situation would probably have parried it back into the path of their forwards.

In the long run, he's not the safe hands solution that we need. I tell you what though, we'll be talking about the guy with pints raised for years to come.

Banks made a great save but talk of it being the best ever is nonsense.

Seamen made a great one against Sheffield Utd in cup semi and Schmeichel has a few contenders too and that is just English football in recent years.

Dudek was a hero last night, made a great save from the header and was lucky (not criticising him) that the second shot was against his hand. He was a hero though and immense in the penalties, his confidence was the difference.

He did make a few errors (though none cost us goals) and he think a better goalie would be a big plus.

He will always be a legend after last night though.

Dudek dig brilliantly during the penalties and the double save from Shevchenko. He is one of the heros from last night.

However i still think he has to go. There was some dodgy moments last night and he is not consistent enough.

But now is not the time for this

what ever happens with the lads, they are ALL HEROES...if they leave, they leave with their head held high

the thing with dudek is that he's a real confidence keeper. remember when he first came he was outstanding, then for various reasons form dipped, lost a bit of confidence, form dips more etc etc - a vicious circle. after last night his confidence must be sky high again. if it had been buffon or chec performing those heroics in the last 5 minutes of the game and the penalty shoot out everyone would be hailing them as the greatest keeper on earth.

jerzy proved again last night that he's got it. fukkin superstar.

Sobering up a bit now. I know Dudek isn't the best keeper in the world but last night for half an hour he was  .

Apart from his save's and his Grobbelar impression ,the way he pysched out the Milan penalty takers ,eyeballing them andwalking up to them each time and handlng them the ball ,for once he knew exactly what he was doing .

I taped the game and watched it again this morning and I still expected that Shevchenko header (and follow up) to gon in . 

To all the lads regardless of who stays and who goes ,you'll never be forgotten.
