Very true Andy,

I don't expect to see the best of the lad until next season.  He'll need a lot of time to settle and people shouldn't expect him to take the premiership by storm in January.  He's a very young lad who will need to settle in the area and learn the language.  Then adapt to the bad weather and physical nature of the premiership.

Gonzalez Link

go there, and put in Albacete as the team, and then in the player box he comes up as 'Mark Gonzalez' and 'Mark Gonzales', there's three on there, two headers (under 'Gonzalez') and one lovely strike (under 'Gonzales'), enjoy

Can he play before January - if he gets a work permit?

"However, he will only play for Liverpool once he obtains either a work permit or European passport."  from LFC.tv

Also how was he able to sign a 4 year contract, outside the transfer window?

Let us remember folks that he injured his ACL and it will take time for him to be ready. Look for him to shine next year and anything earlier will be a bonus.

Anyone else having trouble getting the Gonzalez goals up??
I'm getting a message saying that the bloody website doesn't exist at that address. Ruddy frustrating 'cos i'd like to see what this lad plays like, i've only seen the one goal on sky months ago and he looked like an absolute gem!!
Ive also found that Footy Manager 2005 has been pretty realistic with different players which is really spookie but if it's the same with this boy then all I can say is BOlLox to Duff and Robben.

apparently we're going to have to wait until the beginning of next season to see him playing as we can't reapply for the work permit in january. according to this story here

and while we're at it there's a tantalising little report on him here

Can't believe we have to wait until next season, does that mean Rafa will buy a right winger in Jan I wonder?

Also that report says he plays on the left and not the right
