Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

They said at half time that he was still being questioned. A little hard to believe really that they would keep him in till this time of the evening but its what they said.

There are many reasons he may still be there.

1. He was so bladdered last night he had to wait until mid afternoon to be interviewed. With this, discussions and consultation with his brief and CPS this could go on for several hours depending on the charges.

2. The incident happened in a nightclub full of people, there may be dozens of witnesses to interview which would take all day. No suspect can be interviewed prioperly without all the evidence.

3. It may well be that Stevie cannot be released before all the others have been dealt with too. This will take ages.

4. Stevie is suspected of a very serious offence, in which case he will be kept until all initial enquiries have been completed at which time a decision ill be taken whether to remand/bail/release him.

5. The victim has been unable to give a statement due to his injuries.

6. Stevie has been interviewed more than once, as officers have had to end interviews and conduct enquiries as a result of what Stevie has told them

7. Stevie is a victim of an assault/crime himself and this is also being looked into (but this is unlikely to occur).

8. The coppers are all Stoke Fans

:D

9. A combination of all of the above....

it means they think that gerrad was involved... but as it hasn't been confirmed, they are not willing to confirm it either, or sky could be charged with slander or defarmation of charactor

I'm guessing them police are holding them all because no one has owned up to throwing the glass. Hence they are all being held until they find out which one done it.

The trouble is with someone as high profile as Stevie G is, that someone can see him out and has some grudge against him and take the opportunity to get one up on him, and I hope this is the case, and Steve hasn't gone out of character and got himself in the mud here. We could do without this at a crucial time of the season. There was 6 or 7 people involved, and it could only be one of them, hopefully anyway.
