How's it going now?  Livescore.com has no mention. Lets hope the lads have their moment of glory.

It was Threlfall own goal, tbh looks like the keeper should really of shouted and come and dealt with it.

Losing 2-1 now, dodgy penalty. Even at such an early age they teach them how to dive. Their luck against us seems to reach even youth team level ! ???

Carra, Gerrard, Reina and Alonso are also present nice one.

Just got back, seen Rafa driving in, in a maaaasssssssiiiivvvvveeeee beemer and I have to say I wasn't impressed with Xabi or Reina each tucking in to a Rollover Hot Dog, surely they should be eating something better than that?

Lost 1-2. No away goals apply though.

We should have had a penalty.

We dominated them, but 2 lapses in communication and concentration have lost us the game.

Question is - will our boys be able to get a result at Old Shatford?

Meh, if they lose it doesn't matter. As long as they learn and then improve.

Did anyone see the Liverpool "Under-Nine's" team during halftime?

Good to see Xabi Alonso keeps liking to see youngster playing.

Good to see other players like Carra and Reina also think that it's a good thing to do in their spare time, IMHO it's a sign of commitment to the club.

Myself I like to watch this kind of youngster games, and trying to spot future primera players (sometimes I was spot on!, sometimes I wasn't).

I've read that some of you were there, any red worth to mention for the future?

Liverpool youngsters will play in the Donosti Cup a youngster competition held in San Sebastian in summer, for the first time.
That's an important compo, as players of the height of Fabregas, Xabi Alonso or Xavi played it when they were lads. I'm looking forward to watch the young reds this summer.

A member of this forum told me he was interested in this competition. There are always English teams, although less that I'd like

Here there is a link with info about the compo and the city, in english.

Spot on there Ciggy.I took my lad last night and couldnt believe the stuff they were coming out with. Were are them Italian coppers when you want one.
Must admit I was as equally peeved when the Kop were singing the referees a w.nker and the kid next to me asked his mum what they were singing.

Incidentally, Brian Marwood should be banned from commentating on any Liverpool games. The guy makes Andy Gray sound impartial when it comes us.
