I havent been on here much recently but this is really saddening news.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your kids Karen. Phil was one one of the first peoplem I met on here when I joined this forum and always stuck up for me during my back and forth squabbles with other members.

This is a tremendous blow for everyone on here and the club as it was great supporters like him that epitomised the high standards of Liverpool supporters. You will truley be missed by everyone on here.

Its funny how people who havent even met on here can share a bond but its evident that on here he was well loved and respected.

Totthe other members of the forum i dont know if perhaps this quaestion is out of place but I thought that perhaps someone could create a banner in memory of Phil that could be used at future home games.

Rest in peace Phil, i know you are in a better place now not suffering.

Terrible news

Karen - Im glad that when the end came he had a good death - at peace and pain free. Im glad he got home after his treatment and was able to post again for a while.

i'm sitting at work and have just popped onto the site and can't believe it.  Like most people on here, I had hoped Phil would prove everyone wrong and beat it but at least he went in his sleep in peace.

Sad news.  I always considered Phil a friend and Im going to miss the guy because a part of LFC newkit has died with him.

And so falls a legend. All of us who swapped a jibe and a joke with Phil were privilaged to do so, and have lost a friend. Thats me for now, footballs finished for a bit and I'm gonna spend my spare moments thinking about Phil and his family. If there is a God, I hope he looks after our mate.
