Surely someone would take a punt on him in Jan, given how difficult it is to sign strikers mid-season?

It will be the usual stuff in that we won't sell unless our valuation gets met. He still has 3 years to run down as well but hard to see him going unless he really pushes for it.

Thought he'd run amok today but even against Accy's defence he still showed poor decision making and snatching at shots. He hasn't improved at all.

Yeah I don't know where the rumors written on this thread a while ago came from, that he had only 18 months left on his contract. His contract is until 2028 so he ain't going nowhere most likely.

If Robbie's thinking that then the club must be as well. Think the key is to pull the trigger when we're confidant that Doak/Danns are ready to take over and not too soon.
We'll take a hit but we seem to have sufficient youngsters coming through the academy to absorb the loss.

absolute gash. Can't score against league 2. Not even because the goalie had a wonder game of his life either, no, Darwin MISSED the chances he had.
Danns came on and for me should now get the bench place and Darwin can go. He'll go down as one of the worse signings in our history.

Lesson to be learned: Never buy anyone who looks like Andy Carroll.

wonder if there's any truth in the rumour we've knocked back £70m bid from a club in the Saudi Retirement League for him?

How many chances does this fella need before he sticks one in the net  ?

He did some good work, his pace is outstanding and seems committed, works hard etc BUT when it comes to a final finish ?      For Fu*ks sake at least make the goalie make a save  :kungfu:

Some may say he's a young player still learning his game. He's 23 ! and on the cusp of what would be for many strikers the best chapter of their footballing lives.

I don't know lads but given the chances he's had, and not just in last nights game, surely we should expect better ?

Two years later , Have I changed my mind ?  :p    :no

Apart from his two goals against Newcastle I wont remember him for anything else.  Has been a waste of a shirt from day one.  :kungfu:
The sooner we get rid the more lethal we will become  :nod

I think Danns would give us more of a positive input than Nunez. Slot should seriously consider given Nunez spot on bench to Danns.

80 or whatever Mill and he can't even score against Accrington. Had he converted 25% of his chances he gets we all would've not complained much.

Pisse.s me off how it is a wasted spot in the squad, a shyte option off the bench.
He definitely lacks footballing IQ, in other words a fekin numpty.

Hopefully Danns makes the bench tonight as he isn't afraid to get stuck in when given the opportunity. Based on Nunez's performances this season he should be getting more minutes but as always the slot goes to the bigger wage. If Nunez starts getting shunned for fringe players then his value will plummet and we will want to avoid that.

His 2 goals may have won us the title tonight!  :buttrock

Gotta give credit were it's due, he took both goals well but even a stopped clock is right twice a day .

Lets  hope that kickstarts him into a run of form for the title run in, but I feel we've been here before with him. Well done lad - won us the game !

That should be his last game for us.

Not up to standard and has cost us 2 points with his diabolical finishing.

You'll find a longer highlight reel of him missing clear cut chances than goals scored. The guy is a fekin donkey, one hella shyte forward.
