COVID impact on LFC

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Reg » Fri Nov 13, 2020 4:21 pm

On top of injuries to VVD, Gomez, Fabinho, TAA now we have Covid to contend with:

Updated ongoing disaster news
- Salah has COVID
- Firmino and Fab must self isolate for 14 days having been in touch with a COVID positive player
- Robertson has a hamstring problem

It'll happen at some time to every club all over europe, EPL, Cl etc..  at least we got some big games out of the way

Happy days  :no  :oh:

This is a very unusual year but main thing is we hang in there. If we manage to win the EPL with all they shyte we've gone through it will be a remarkable achievement.

Sorry lads but Alisson has also gone into 14 day self isolation......

Alisson
Alexander-Arnold
Gomez
Van Dijk
Matip
Tsimikas
Fabinho
Henderson
Thiago
Keita
Milner
Oxlade-Chamberlain (since pre-season)
Mané
Salah

I make that Liverpool's injury/Covid list so far this season. We're two months in.

Salah acting like a complete dickhead could cost us the league and the european cup.

Never in our history have we needed this international break so much.

So Salah just misses the Leicester game?

Haven't seen anything about the Brazilians? Where did you see that, Reg?

A couple of lads confirmed it to me, both usually very accurate with info. One told me Fab had Covid and the other corrected it to he was self isolating so they both had the story already from their own sources. We met up in Madrid for the CL final...

One of the lads from the Brazilian squad tested positive, but our lads tested negative.

Not sure what protocol is now though. Bobby scored last night so he definitely played, not sure about Alisson.

Knowing the EPL they'll make them self isolate for the season.

Firmino played and scored for Brazil last night. Ali didn't play but is with the Brazil squad. And I thought I saw a picture of Fabinho doing rehab at the new training ground this week. Well I'll guess we'll find out for sure next week.

Maybe one of your lads needs to check their source ad both did well to be in the team despite having Covid

Sure, it's not difficult to be on the end of incorrect news, you're right. You haven't just resurfaced after many months to make a snide remark have you?

Nope - read the nonsense every day , this just took it to a new level. Same with the post about Salah costing us the title and CL because he went to his brothers wedding .

Covid will be affecting every club

Very harsh Reg. It was his brothers wedding. I’d rather thank him for his contribution towards us winning the CL and the league title rather than suggest somewhat ridiculously that his behaviour could cost us this years league and CL. Seriously Reg just how much had you drunk before you came out with that load of old bollux  :help

I'm guessing Salah would do it all over again. I wouldn't miss my brother's wedding either.  Have to say sometimes it does feel like Salah has a bit of a target on his back with the media, rival fans, and our own fans, quick to take aim about both football and non-footballing matters. I mean Mane prob goes to ground as much as Salah but doesn't get half the abuse as Salah.
