Poulsen is going to eb a really good player for us. I know it's early but we've stolen him for 4.5 million.

Hi Sabre, I agree, he has a bit of Didi in him when he distributes the ball, I also think he is very tactical aware that's why he is an excellent marker

Him performing well for Sevilla and Schalke is a fair time ago now where as his performaces for Juve were very underwhelming .

It will be interesting to see how he does against high quality opposition and once he has his fitness levels up .

Still to be convinced he is a worthwhile signing currently .

He didn't do all that well with Juventus because he wasn't played much and he wasn't used properly by the coach! even I got txt msg from one of my best mates who is a Juve fan telling me that Poulsen is a very good player and we didn't see the best of him because the coach didn't know what he was doing at the time, hence their 7th placed finish

As I said he was never used properly with Juventus but was excellent with Sevilla.

Thought he was good again yesterday. Distributed forward passes quite tidily and didnt make much of a fuss in midfield.

He is still slow though, but match fitness will solve that problem :)

An assured performance from a seasoned veteran ,looked composed and confident when ever he had possession ... his best game in the red of LIverpool

Poulson definitely lacks match fitness.  His touch was a bit off, passing not sharp enough and he was kind of slow.  Hopefully within a couple matches he can prove he's worth the money.

Good addition to our Europa league squad though.

Pretty much sums both players up right there.  Poulsen may lack the pace and technical ability but his football intelligence is above and beyond Lucas.  Lucas could probably be a better passer but his head just isn't in the right frame of mind and like Sabre said probably never will be.
