Carragher for captain - Jc,lfc all over!

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Not carra, I have a feeling he tends to trips himself against wingers.

Gerrard is the capable leader amoungst the lot. Hypia will be next, though not as commanding as Gerrard.

If Baraja comes to lfc, who will be the midfield general?

although this is pretty inconceivable, i would love for us to sign Ricardo Carvalho.

IMO he is one of th best CB's in the world and he has shown this at Euro 2004 and during the last season for Porto, he was immense today on Van Horseface, closed out of the game almost, and he covers very well whn his wing backs are caught out of position.

Maybe Benitez wll make a swoop for him, we can only hope!  :)

Look guys - facts are facts, As much as I feel JC epitomises the spirit of LFC, he is a good SQUAD player, and thats it.

We need to have a first team that can challenge the ******, Manure and Chelski, which means top draw players. Which is I am sure, why Rafa, took the post, SG has decided to stay, and no doubt MO will sign an extension to his contract.

I am lfc all over, but I dont think I would figure in Beni's plans for the future!!!

Carvalho is absolutely top class.

He's strong, reads the game well, isn't afraid of the rough stuff, is fast and can carry the ball out of defence excellently.

All of these characteristics would make a huge difference to our defence.

I don't think it is inconceivable, but if we were interested we would need to act fast as there are others around who would also like him.

all of portugals defenders looked top class. carvalho, nuno valente, jorge andrarde, miguel have all improved as the tournament has gone on. makes you wonder why chelsea have just wasted another 13m on paulo ferreira. :D

Gerrard is my favourite player but we should have Hyypiä as captain. Always a centre back!

Well much as I would love Carvalho it doesn't look good as it seems it's a straight fight between Madrid and chelsea scumbags. :(
Smith to Shankly:My thigh is a bit sore, but I think I could play.
Shankly to Fagan:Tell him,Joe.He has got no chance of playing.
Smith to Fagan:Tell him to sod off.It is not his leg,it's mine.
Shankly to Smith:Oh no son.You are wrong, son. It is not your leg.
It is Liverpool Football Club's leg.

Most times when he crosses the half way, heps the flow and passes behind him. There has been many attacks nutified at centre half by bogus GH tactics. I don't think Carragher  has the stuff to win a Eo championship

Feck knows why some people are saying JC is a squad player.

I would prefer JC as captain as I think he's more vocal on the pitch.
But the die has been cast now so no turning back.
