i think he was made for the role of central defence myself you can see he clearly enjoys playing there, i think he is more then good enough to play there myself plus he is a local lad which is always a good thing

He is a good solid defender now playing in the centre of the park where he likes to play.
He would need more pace if playing out on the wing.

He did well but the opposition didn't really put him to the test.He has sometimes been left on his ar*e by the likes of Henry . Both Carra and Sammi great defenders but together not the quickesr of pairings , could present problems .

We need some pace at centre half also.  Jamie won't let us down but we need a world class centre half.

thats what i was thinking watching liverpool last night especially how high we were playing up the field fast forwards would destroy us and we paly against 1 on saturday in  DEFOE

If we're going to push up as we did the other night our CD has to have some pace because there will a lot of space behind us for the opposition to burst into (given the right ball) For example Owen or Cisse would have a ball playing on the shoulder of our two central defenders ,a good through ball and Carra or Sammi would be left for dead. We need at least one centre back with some pace/acceleration .

I think he is a cracking player, always gives 100%.  However i am a little concerned that he may be a little bit short in height compared to others.

he'll by good at the back with hypia i recon    at least he is faster then henchoz!!!

New centre half is needed cara is good cover and ALWAYS gives his all but he is to short and lacks pace

he aint too slow maybe not as fast as henry but he could keep up with players like viduka smith cole shearer n stirkers like that and i dont think 6'1 is short at al!

rafa needs to sign a new one and maybe he will
