The problem with him is there's no middle ground. When he's on form he's really good but when he's having an off day he's absolutely awful. He lacks the pace to take advantage of his wonderful control, thats his main problem.

If Gerrard is back at the weekend I'd leave him out as start Yossi on the left.

Can't we play Benni more on the right midifield. Not a natural winger but offers more creativity than Kuyt. For me not much needs to be added to the squad in the summer, we only really need a good backup striker and maybe another RB, otherwise we are looking pretty good imo.
I would like to see Barry here and because he is so versatile he could be played left midfield or come into the centre in games where we need a bit more of an attacking push.

If Reira plays more consistently, he wouldn't have costed only 8million. I agree with some of you that he always look tired....Don't really know what's wrong. Maybe too much late night drinks :p . Intead, I'm concern on the RB position. I think Arbolea has already Maxed out. We need someone who has more speed as our defense generally are slow.

Why replace someone who has been creating goals all season long ? Why the constant call to replace Kuyt when he proves week in week out how crucial he is ?

I bet if you were to say "Kuyt" 3 times, GYBS would appear in your room.

What we need is pace on the wings. Players with energy that can beat their men and cross the ball for the strikers.

With Kuyt signing a new contract is Rafa really going to go out and get a new winger for the right? Unless he plans to stick Kuyt up front again, which wouldnt be a bad idea.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

Dirk has performed really well this season without a doubt. He can make mistakes but who doesnt. Even though his out of his preffered position i have to hand it to the fella his done extremely well.
Anyhow im still on the view that we need a quality, natural right mid player to take kuyts place!

im hoping he does sign a new winger.. Would be crazy not to. Don't know where he will play kuyt though if we do. Maybe a back up but that wouldnt suit kuyt aswel because his used to playing tons of games. Oh well we just have to wait and see.

well me obviously im free so wouldnt be a problem.  :D

Was thinking of silva, ribery or joaquin maybe.. silva, ribery seems a little too expensive though..  Wouldnt even mind Aaron lennon, valencia.

well silva is not really a right winger , Ribery would cost well over 40 mil odd - joaquin is nowhere nearr the the player he used to be . lennon may have loads of pace but his end product is awful and kuyt has outperformed both him and valencia this season going by the stats ?
