He was the only negative to come out of Saturday for me.

His inability to keep his shape is really frustrating at the minute. He's effectively playing as a central midfielder and making us lose our balance.

I'd play Babel against Villa.

I agree he didn't play well against United... but he was playing better the last games and he even gave some assists.

He's a good player with ups and downs, if he scored 13 goals a season in his position he would be a lot more expensive.

I wouldn't think of getting someone better for the left unless we have a Valencia bargain due to their economic crisis or we sort out the right wing and the striker front first.

Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

Because hes in form. Riera isnt.
Hes scored a goal against two top teams in Europe. Riera hasnt.
Give him a chance see what hes like?

Sadly I don't think Riera is quite good enough for what we require. If we are going to continue to play two solid holding midfielders, the players in front of them have to be of top quality. So for me the option is either bring in a more creative central/attacking midfielder and play with just the one holding midfielder, or get better and more creative players in the wide areas.

I know we beat the mancs 4-1, but in all honesty the goals where from long balls finished with panache rather than from creative football and a nice build up. Very effective though (and I am not complaining)   :D

A decent player who gave us balance and a little more width and retains the ball quite well , but not enough of a threat both creatively or with end product to supply what we need.

I think that little touch that I think came from a throw in is a quality one. Have you got a name for that? we call it a sombrero, a hat :D, in my country. I really enjoyed it when I watched it.

Where do you get these little video clips? I'm planning to make my own, because often with a video clip you can explain more things than with 1000 words.

I don't knwo what that move would be called but I like it. :D Torres was doing similar things last night and actually one of the moves resulted in a foul by the opposition, a free kick which led to the only goal of the game.

However that is an animated GIF. You can make such things using Fireworks or photoshop.

Frustrated the hell out of me today, especially in the second half. His end product was woeful.

Reira both on wednesday and today showed he doesnt have the final 'something', he´s a squad player and you can put him on the list for replacement in the next 12-24 months. Nice lad but he is not upto the Big Games.
