After 29 LONG years, this is finally our season

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Next six days will decide the title, in my opinion. If spuds or manure dont stop them then nothing (probably) will.

I agree we will find out our fate after the derby. If City beat those two then i can't see it going anywhere but staying with them.

We need City to wobble in the next two matches but somehow I don’t see it happening, I hope I am wrong. I think they will beat Spurs easily as they will play angry and then against ManUre is our only chance but ManUre are exactly that,  so I’m not holding my breath. The only chance I see is something happening in the Spurs match (injury or suspension) that will help ManUre in their match. We need ManUre to be close enough to CL places that they produce an almighty effort. It is crunch time for us in relation to City’s fixtures as we have been waiting for this period for a couple of months or so and now we have arrived. By this time next week we could have the answers to wether we can win the Premier League.

It’s going to be really interesting to see how both teams are affected by Wednesday night. Spurs should be on cloud nine and massively motivated to get into next years CL. Mind you they might do that by winning it !! On the other hand City will be on a huge downer. Vardiola’s management skills will be tested to the full getting himself and the team in the right mental place. After the game they looked steamrollered to me.

At least we'll know by next week if we should concentrate more on both comps or just the CL.

Would be somewhat poetic of Rodgers managed to hand us the title by beating them with Leicester  :D

I'd take that :D I'm really hoping and praying Spurs get something tomorrow. It would be awesome to swing the tide back on our side.

We are running out of road but must stay positive and do our job. City are a formidable opponent. Got to stay mentally strong and get it done at Cardiff keep the pressure on.

We just need City to draw a game which is not beyond the realms of possibility even against Burnley and Leicester....  :Oo:

Even the Mancs need desperately to get a result against city and in a derby anything is possible (just ask Pickford  :grinning: )

The key is to just keep rolling out the wins, any kind of win, in the next four.

I hope manure don't play City like they played Barca in the nou camp. They just seemed to fold easily and were steam rollered.

If City do manage a win, it's probably curtains obviously as they have no champions league semi fixtures...

I hope I'm wrong..

Cardiff are fighting for their lives and will be super pumped, hyper and on a mission to get 3 points. Tough game lads tomorrow won't be easy.

Football like life doesn't care what anyone deserves but if it did then surely its our turn. At this point it feels like a lucky bounce of the ball, a referee call, will decide it given almost nothing else can separate the two teams.

All we can do is win our remaining games, eitrher that's going top be good enough or it isn't.
And then we have the CL... the way we're playing at the moment we can go all the way - it's in our hands though, not another teams.

It's exciting times gents, this season has been outstanding.
