has anybody been watching 'the river'? its supposed to be the (latest) thing to replace Lost...

i caught about 10 minutes of an episode the other night and had to turn it off. most reviews i've seen a very positive so maybe i'm missing something, but a complete and utter lack of sense and a reliance on grainy 'cctv' footage make for a fairly annoying viewing experience.

Never heard of "The River" Andy, maybe I'll have look.

Watched the first couple of episodes of "Luck" mainly because for a TV show Dustin Hoffman and Nick Nolte constitute a pretty heavyweight cast.

Gotta admit, maybe I don't know enough about horse racing but so far I'm a bit confused with whats going on.

PS. Anybody seen any of "Friday Night Lights" ? , seen some ad's on Sky, looks as though it could be worth catching (?)

Friday night Lights is good tv woof. Packs a punch so better than most of the normal stuff. Those who kill starts tonight, from the makers of the proper version of the killing, so I'll be watching that.

Grimm is ok but its really just Supernatural without the laughs so far. Walking Dead is better than ever. It should be more drama than zombies, builds the tension more.
