I'll keep an eye out for this. Legend. Where have players like this gone to these days?

I think they are all gone unfortunately.

Its a great film, I has not believability but it is still a great film and is a must see.

Really?  It bored me stiff, mate.  Too much ram-it-down-their-throats action and not enough substance.  I've got fairly low expectations for sequels--especially ones that come decades later--but I still found it wanting.  Oh well, to each his own I guess. :D

I agree. They tried to recapture that 80's nostalgia feeling, and it just about worked. It just wasn't the Indy I remembered. The Tarzan bit just had me cringing.

What made the indy movies was the dialect and acting that harrison ford afforded during the films, yes he was active but he acted on what was obvious to him, all the new movie tries to do is say "Hey, hes old but he doesnt need a zimmer frame !" What a shame, if they went with the older indiana jones who is showing his age then maybe it could have worked, unfortunately, they went the other way.

I watched the Indy film last night, and thought it was great up to the finding of the crystal skull. After that the film went badly wrong and the ending (last 20mins) was a disgrace to the Indy films that have gone before.

Having said that, I would still give it a 6/10 but it could and should have been so much better!

Oh dear.

I saw it on Friday, and it was pretty good apart from the ridiculously unbelievable parts.

Well, it's pretty much given away 10 minutes into the film at the start. Yes, it has something to do with Roswell. I actually thought the idea was a good one, and no more fanciful than The Ark, but it wasn't as well executed, and the idea should have been a little more discreet.
Still, the idea of Mayans with extraterrestrial allusions isn't all that far fetched as there are credible explanations that they did worship something otherworldly in their mythology. Like the Egyptians, strange paintings have been found in their artifacts of what appears to be them trying to depict alien-like beings. Also, a lot of Mayan architecture can't be explained, even by today's standards, of how it was actually possible to build given what resources they had to use back then.

apparently the reason the film took soo long to be made is because Ford and Spielberg kept turning down Lucas's $hitty scripts.....can you imagine what it would be like if he had got ALL his own way?
