Well its official Day of the dead remake now beats The Fog remake as second cruddiest remake ever.

Anne Heche Psycho remake still holds top spot which goes without saying  :D

Day of the Dead remake was probably one of the worst films I'd ever seen...sort of. It was so bad that I actually turned it off half way in. Zombies that can do 0-60 faster than a Ferrari, and jump distances like a human flea, they also have the ability to climb up sheer walls and scurry along the ceiling. Yes. Just what I always thought about when the word zombie popped into my head.

Very true!
I watched that and thought the same thing, ffs the zombies were flying through the air duct like a concorde.Plus as you say crawling along roofs like spiders and running like Linford Christie!...Just wrong

Everyone knows zombies are meant to go slow!

I was very disappointed with Diary. I just thought the acting was atrocious at times, very cheesy and as a result spoiled a lot of the tension. It's meant to be as if a zombie invasion were really taking place. For a start, in  a lot of the situations the person behind the camera would logically do the first thing that would come to most people's minds and drop the f*cking thing to help someone who's being attacked. I thought it was just stupid sometimes. There were a few creepy moments, but the script and Romero's direction let it down. I think it's safe to say that after Land and Diary, that Romero has been exposed for what he is: an overrated director that's been left behind in the low budget era of the 70's and 80's. Day was a triumph because of it's special effects and decent dialog, but that's mainly thanks to Tom Savini, who worked on the amazing (and still to this day unrivaled) special effects.

If you want to watch a first-person-perspective zombie film, then [REC] shows Romero how it should have been done. It's a bit on the short side, but it's more immersive and tensive than Diary ever tried to be.

Yeah i know Mena Suvari should have stuck with American Pie franchise as that would more cred then this turkey. Fancy after her role American beauty, her  career heading into Tara Reid terrority  :)

Ving Rhames was better off in Dawn of the Dead which i thought far better modern zombie effort

Caught the latest Indy movie, yeah it was harmless fun as I expected. Though could have been made so much better and I was happy to see the credits start to roll

Watched the remake of The Andromeda Strain last night, not bad at all. To be honest I wasn't expecting too much, but it was much better than I thought. 6/10

Has anyone seen Street Kings, very much like Training day ( same writter ), even Keanu Reeves makes a decent attempt at acting in it.

Based on a specialised task force in the LAPD, some great shoot out scenes and an interesting plot.

I mentioned something about how a remake of this film should be done a few posts back. Obviously someone else thought the same. When was the remake made? I'll have to check it out.

Saw the new Indy movie last night and I have one question.

What the Fucking Hell was George Lucas thinking of when he wrote that ending? ???
Possible Spoiler!!!>>> It's almost like he forgot he was writing a script for the Indiana Jones franchise and not another Star Wars c0ck up!!!

It was good fun and not a bad return for ol' Indiana Jones up until that ending!!

Still it's deffo worth a look for Indy fans out there. 6.5/10

Not sure if this helps you mate but :- www.binaries4ever.net "the.andromeda.strain.2008.part2.dvdrip.
It's a tv mini-series 2008 (2 parts) worth watching, if you liked the original you will probably like this.

Watched Fools Gold last night after the football. I really downloaded it for my daughters, but I really enjoyed it , bit corny but very funny with some "genuine" laugh out loud moments. 7/10

If it hasn't been mentioned already the remake of the Andromeda Strain is on $ky Movies at the moment so if you've got $ky there's no need to waste any of your download allowance if you're capped.

Watched Smoking aces, an ensemble mafia hitman flick with some fairly well known actors such as Ray Liotta, Ryan Reynolds and Ben Affleck and rather ironically a good smattering of actors from the Lost TV series

Quite enjoyable romp and well worth the weekly video rental fee
