FFS, things are all going the Italians' way at the moment--calls, tempo, etc.  Defo foul on Silva with the ref right there to see it and no call.  Come on Spain, getting the passing game going and get the Italians chasing some shadows.

Isn't he the ref from the Athens final last year? When an Italian team (Milan) beat us containing a strong Spanish influence ???

I don't like the way the Italians always always have to have these dirty little sly kicks and stamps on the opposition. The one on Villa in the box tonight was dirty and a stonewall penalty.

At this rate if we end up with a Germany Vs. Italy final I hate to say it but I'd support the Germans  :Oo: .
Thankfully that ain't gonna happen cos Spain are going all the way baby!!!  :buttrock

That's the difference between our philosophy and the english one.

If you choose the high tempo, you win capability to surprise, and players like Torres are more deadly, but you also increase the chance of mistake, and when you have Italy on front of you that's a problem.

Spain prefers to wait patiently and most importantly not lose the ball while we find the play.

Both high tempo and low tempo have advantages, but we're not as strong as the english when we don't have the ball, so we focus on not losing it.

He has to in this game if he wants to smell the ball. You might not like Italy's game, but they know their stuff, and at the end, the result is what counts.

no no no, the reason you need to raise the tempo is that italy are playing with 4 central midfielders. raise the temp a lil, get down the wings and catch the italians unawares. an italian defensive side is not the side any team wants to be patient with
