So what Joe! Look against who we lost our last CL final, and look the ages the likes of Seedorf and Maldini had! They were the oldest team in the tournament, but they won.

Age is a sign to be worried when you look at the future, but having an high age average in the team doesn't have to be intrinsically bad for the team.

BTW, Aragones has aswell set an example for all the elders of the world: At that age, you can still have a good mind for football and many other activities!

I love all our players but after watching the antics of Pepe hes now shot up to legand status in my eyes.

Apparently he is the most popular member of the Spanish Squad and he had them all laughing an joking like this right through the tournament he bonded the different factions of players. Top top class lad

How could any player from Spain not want to come an play for the same team as him. No wonder Torres is always round his house.

Cant wait for the season to start now i think the kops gonna have some fun with Pepe next season

(literally he says...)" with number 21 , he is very , very small, only 1:50 but he has such amount of quality that makes you bored" (I hope it make sense.... )

"Empanado" description, it's a word used a lot, not offensive, something you tell someone who is a friend usually.

It means those people who tend to buy any joke you tell them, as in you tell them you've been having a coffee with George Bush and he'll go "Really?". Also used for people who, like me, tend to forget umbrellas and things like that in public places. "Absentminded" could be the closest word I find in the dictionary, but surely you can tell me the word you use for that?

Soft lad.

you need to start checking those sources mate :D

Manhattan is never wrong. Manhattan was playing mind games.

Exactly.

Manhattan knew that predicting a Spanish exit would anger the Spanish players to the point where they would destroy Russia.

The Spanish team regularly reads these forums, particularly Manhattan's posts, and the Fit Birds thread.

As I said, Manhattan is never wrong:

BTW, it seems a new tactic of spam robots to log in in sites and spam.

I'll translate what MARCA said a while back. Before the euro.

Headline: Luis gets cocky

Luis' quote: "I feel more support than ever, and I'll be on the team no matter if we win or we lose tomorrow"

Marca's question on background: "In which world is he leaving?"

Marca's stats: "Out of 188707 Marca.com users 162910 are against him. Out of 1036 people asked in the streets, 816 are against him. Out of all the media that we asked to, everybody is against him".

------------

And why did they give stick to the man that brought the Euro? because he didn't summon Raul and Guti for Real Madrid. Because having 2 players only from Real Madrid was a travestry for them, unlike the usual 4-6 players.

The media is probably the main reason we didn't get a title before. They say who should be the manager (Del Bosque is one of their taste, as he's a Real Madrid fan and a muppet of the media and players), they say when a manager must be sacked, and normally they get away with it.

Fortunately though, Aragones, even with his mistakes and strange methods, has shown to me that he's stubborn enough to ignore the media, and for me, that was one of the keys to success.

I hate Marca with a passion.

The other one is our players having learned a couple of things in England. Very important.

Now you speak basque Joe?

You just told me a phrase that more or less means "Amen: You're there and I'm here" which is the closest thing in basque to "We'll agree to disagree"  :D

I've been on vacation for the last couple of weeks, so would just like to belatedly congratulate Sabre and all other spaniards on their magnificent triumph in the Euros... viva Espana! The best team won the tournament, and to top it all off our own Nando scored the winning goal. I'm really chuffed for him and Spain in general, as they've finally broken their bad spell of tournament results. Now for all of our spanish players to transmit their winning mentality to LFC :;):
