The hotel is 3 km from the stadium

She will think it will be romantic to go to the game......wont she??

Lets hope the local hospital is only 3km away ,it could be a strenuous walk dragging your severely  bruised ballbag  any further  ..... Let me know how that goes DD  :D

Im going to go

It will take a lot of persuasion to get her to spend Saturday night in Rome in a football stadium but I reckon if I start tonight then she might be okay in a few weeks  :D

Do it, only set up an evening that you have planned so that she cannot change it. Go to the match then tell her afterwards you have booked you both into a nice restaurant for a meal. To sweeten her up totally plan something before the match for her and your all set.

If not then she is a hard woman to please !

Fair enough mate ...besides a few weeks might be ample time to develop an immunity to having hot food thrown in your lap   :D

Well, they beat Roma last September, when I was in Italy on my honeymoon. We were passing through Napoli on our way to Pompei. The place was deserted. It was a Sunday and NOTHING was open (except the history museum). It was like Dublin on a Sunday afternoon 20+ years ago. All the shops closed and nobody in town. All of a sudden, there was an almighty roar from the apartments we were walking by and I remembered that the match was on in the San Paolo.

Napoli though, is a sight to see. I've never been to a bigger shithole in my life and I been to some dodgy places. Google "Naples is a shithole" and you'll get about 50,000 hits back. :(

Rough as fuck. The contrast between there and Rome etc is incredible.
