Dawson do you agree with bit that Hodgson should concentrate on managing Liverpool and doing good things with us ? Ignoring the sugar mountain bit what's wrong with everything else he has said ? Does ranting at what Rafa has said mask a bit of the home truth that he is saying ?

Almost two weeks to the day since hitting out at then-managing director Christian Purslow and comparing his own departure from Anfield to a bottle of milk, Benitez claimed Hodgson could not "see a priest on a mountain of sugar".

Inter Milan boss Benitez, back in England for Tuesday night's Champions League game at Tottenham, was responding to accusations from Hodgson that he had banned club ambassador and scout Kenny Dalglish from Liverpool's Melwood training ground during his time in charge.

"I think that Mr Hodgson, he doesn't understand," Benitez said.

"Every single press conference is even worse than the last one. He's talking about things that he doesn't know.

"And some people cannot see a priest on a mountain of sugar.

"Maybe he hasn't been in Liverpool too long. We gave the fans their pride - again. We fought for the fans, we fought for the club and we fought for our players.

"So maybe he cannot understand this."

He added: "I brought back Kenny Dalglish to do a role in the club and Christian Purslow gave him another role.

"He (Hodgson) doesn't know but I will explain it to him.

"So, instead of talking about the flips or the flops, he has to concentrate on his players, try to do his best.

"He has a good job to do."

Once again defending his own record as Liverpool manager during a six-year reign that ended in the summer, Benitez said: "They've signed nine players.

"With £10million net spending, I left that squad with £300million value, 13 internationals.

"So, instead of talking about flips and flops, he has to concentrate on his job, try to do his best and not talk about the level of his players or the new players.

"Concentrate, try to do your best because it will be the best for the club and it will be the best for the fans."

There is the full statement - which was in reply to what Hodgson was saying - which bits are incorrect .

I think all the stuff about leaving a great team and making big signings and how he keeps harping on about Liverpool is too much, and he should shut up. Hes well in his right to retort to Roy, but the Liverpool stuff, move on.

Dont care what truth there is, hes winding Liverpool up, dividing the fans and isnt helping the club at all, and thats all that matters.

Take a step back and realise where this has all come from - when someone insults you and has a dig at you (numerous times) to the national press then you are well within your rights to respond and he has responded with the truth -

He has told him instead of constantly having digs in the press - concentrate on the team and players - correct

Told him he has a good job to do - correct

Told him to try and do his best and not talk about the level of players or new players - corrrect

Concentrate, try to do your best because it will be the best for the club and it will be the best for the fans.

And that last statement just sums it up - what is wrong exactly with what Rafa has said .

Benny, you make me laugh, you are all concentrating on Roy so much you cant see how Rafa is undermining LFC as a club, and not admitting his guilt in the problems we have had as well.. you lot cant see the banjos for the volkswagons

For me its making no difference at all - what is worst is the current manager slating current players - is that not worse ?

Analyse each comment he has made then Dawson and highlight it to us instead of just ranting away .

there are too many, he just goes on and on. What id like, what wed all like.. apart from him shutting up is for him to admit he made some mistakes, some bad buys, that he did even one thing wrong... but no, he harps on, massaging his ego, enticing the fans... just gets on my nerves.

Yet apparently its ok to slag off Roy on this forum, but say one thing about Rafa and you get attacked.. brilliant.

you must admit youd like him to shut up as well. hes at inter now, the inter fans deserve his full concentration with them

Hold on a minute

Goes on and on and on ?!

He has responded twice to insults and digs from our current manager after being asked questions by the media and he has responded - is that really him going on and on and on .

No one has said its ok to Slag of Hodgson - but im sure ts ok to critisize him just like it was ok to critisize the previous manager when he was our manager .

As Igor has said in another thread -

Roy lied - Rafa put him straight - end of discussion .

Im pretty sure the Inter fans arent really bothered as long as they see results on the pitch .

But please do show us where he is undermining the club and show me exactly what was wrong with his statement - its above in case you need help .
