What was his net spend? I don't think you will find many managers trying to finish in the top as well as mount a European challenge with a net spend of 25Mil a season. But no instead we blow money on players who are going to retire in a year or 2. I hope you hold the same high standards with spending on Roy as you do with Rafa.

why net spend? If you dont have the money dont buy sell buy sell so often. A world class manager doesnt have the turnover when the net spend is not available.

the facts are we went through TOO MANY PLAYERS to get anyone gelling properly. and the ones we had he scared off it seems to me.

Net spend because it was a 1 in 1 out system meaning we often had to sell before we could buy hence we could never really build any strength in depth.

The fact is no other manager would be expected to finish in the top 4 and mount a European Cup challenge on a 25Mil a year net spend. Heck City have individual players on their bench who cost more.

Remember all the full backs he bought before he realised the one he had to start with that GH bought (Finnan) was better than all those continentals he thought he needed?

I think he is capable of being the first Inter manager in ages to lose the league.

The only won the league in the first place due to the other teams being handicapped, teams who never went onto recover. Come on you see that don't you?

Johnsons flaws are only exaggerated more due to being more exposed sinc Poulsen came. Id rather we give him a p45 but they don't sack managers here so I hope he gracefully retires from his post.

Yeah 1 in 1 out mate, and he was trying to build a squad not to mention revamp the youth system. The only promising young players we have who will realistically break through in the future (Pachecho, Wilson, Shelvey & Sterling) were all scouted and bought under his watch. It's ultra competitive these days and things become 100 times harder when you don't have the money to compete.
