You fail to mention though that we also got to the CL final in 07, and many other semi/quarter finals.
In the last 10 years i think Jose + Ancelotti are the only managers who've won the CL twice... so Rafa's record in that competition is top notch. We were voted the best team in Europe over a 5 year period.
He also won us an FA Cup and on two occasions we accumilated a record number of points in the PL. (82 and 86). The latter would of won the PL many other years.
Not to mention that we qualified for the CL 5 out of 6 seasons. I think Rafa achieved a lot at Liverpool comparing our circumstances to that of our rivals. its also worth mentioning that the owners wanted to sack him in his fourth season which would of unsettled everyone at the club. And some rumours suggest that Rafa had to threaten to quit if they didn't give the money for Masch.
When he did finally leave... he even donated money to the hillsborough cause among other things.
Its a shame that some Liverpool fans poke fun at his weight, and seem to judge his entire 6 year spell as manager on one terrible signing and season. Its even worse that our fan's still feel the need to laugh at his new team drawing a game of football.
