We'll do Villa no bother, I think we'll squeeze past Tottenham too, and obviously it'll be hard to get past Arsenal. My guess is that to do that, one of Roys biggish signings is going to have to be a hit.

I think challenge for forth spot will be between us and citeh..

Arsenal will always be thereabout and may falter by feb/march time. On the other hand citeh will win games well but lose the odd one here and there..

Doubt citeh will win it its chelsea all the way.

do we laugh at Rafa and use Jose as a comparison, who also drew his first game then? ???
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Neither Benitez nor Mourinho will be a success at their current clubs IMHO. Madrid could be Mourinho's Brian Clough/Leeds moment.

Mourhino wont last 5 minutes in Madrid they want attacking free flowing football something he doesnt do.
Can see him or Rafa at City if Mancini is sacked.

What about an answer though Mick to the question ?

I didn't answer it Benny because I've answered it before many times. Hodgson has won seven league titles (which were dismissed by the "I can't believe he's gonners" as they don't rate the league) in club football. He rescued Inter Milan from the abyss and got beat in a European final on penalties with them. The team he built and left behind there swept all before them when Roy took oer at Switzerland, who he guided into a World ranking of fourth (in fairness to Roy and with admirable honesty, he said the rating was actually a joke). He did extremely well with Finland as the national coach, did a superb job at Fulham and did well at Blackburn save for half a season. Infact, excepting a faux pas at Blackburn you'd be hard pressed to find a supporter of any of the clubs roy has managed who've got a bad word to say about him.

What I meant when I said it was one of your better efforts, was the way you listed Rafa's successes which makes my claim about his record look silly. I'm prepared to accept that, however if you look in detail at the circumstances of his "successes" and where he went from there, as well as at the number of total catastrophies, the record isn't quite so glittering. You only need to look at what he did at Liverpool to see both ends of the spectrum. An incredible achievement with winning the Champions League with a poor team, followed by years of trophyless floundering, ending in a finish of seventh place and a 20 million quid midfielder who was a disaster. Now I know many will dispute my read on things and fair enough, but his six seasons at Liverpool contained one absolutely outstanding success, one FA Cup which was great and many many failures.

Anyway, there is the answer to your question since you ask   :) .
