he is the best player we have imo and should he get injured we will be up the proverbial without a paddle.
so what if he's petulent.i prefer to call it passionate and i was as surprised as he was today when he got subbed.i understand kenny wants to save him from a possible burnout from overplaying him as he is our best asset.
he needs to be kept happy and we need to build around him before his agent starts banging on in his ear about how much footy and wages he will get at another club.

yeah, we should keep him happy, but not if it leads to burn out/injury before 2 big games. kenny was absolutely right to take him off, sod his petulance. he'll play 90 minutes more often than not over the course of the season.

Yeah we have two big games coming up and we will need him at the top of his game, but having said that a little bit if respect wouldn't go a miss from him. I admire he wants to stay on and play but sometimes he needs to see the bigger picture

Agreed about the whole attitude thing. It shows even during the game at time which can be a bit of a bother for players around him. That said, the substitution today was a bizzare one from Kenny. At 2-1 up, him having an excellent game, Wolves starting to threaten consistently, it didnt make much sense taking him off and jeopardizing the 3 points if they managed an equalizer. Regardless, he should know better than to react the way he did.

To be fair on him, i think he showed respect when he shook the managers/ gerrards hand, the reaction sure is a bit over the top but i think this is more of an exertion of passion than petulance. Hey, at least he doesn't pull a Van der Vaart and leave the field evertime he's subbed without shaling the managers hand :p

I don't make anything of the reaction, next time he plays he'll work his socks off once again and it'll be like it never happened.  Wonder how he's gonna be next week in the derby though..  He's probably going to get kicked around A LOT.

Don't worry there will be Plenty to get those teeth into, even when he's sad he looks like he's the happiest man alive.

He is the fulcrum of all our attacks and without him which we will if we cannot qualify for CL will be a great loss. I'd prefer to see an overall brilliant team performance rather than an individual star to initiate all attacks and grab all the goals because what happens if Barcelona wants him? He's brilliant but is still not up to the standards of Messi, many times he would make bad passes, loses the ball and his finishing can be poor.

As a professional, he should be more mature in not visibly showing his frustration every time he's substituted.

No one is like Messi, he is the player of this generation. No one would be able to compare. Glad to has Luis though as he is a fantastic talent.

of course he is. it just does my head in when fans concentrate on what a player can't do rather than what he can. some are even talking about him being wanted by other clubs when he's only just arrived. suarez is one of the most gifted players we've ever had and fans should enjoy him whilst he's here as players of his ability don't come around very often.

When asked about Suarez, Dalglish always seems to say 'we are lucky to have him here' but when he does all I hear inside Kennys head is ' but we wont be able to keep him'   Maybe its just me being paranoid  :D

One of the top players in the world at the moment in my opinion. Looks a snip at £23M to be honest.

With a fit Gerrard slotting into an attacking midfield/front line of Downing, Suarez, Kuyt and Bellamy we have some serious options (and some serious pace) going forward!!
