He was awesome today and did well to stay on his feet except for the time it really mattered! Gutted we, and he, were cheated the winning goal.

Even Moyes enjoyed it!  Haha he said he thought it was funny, and it's something he would have done as a player.

does that surprise you lakes?.
fwiw i dont think it surprises anyone on here at all because we all know his conversion rate is only 10%.
funny enough though he is only 1 behind the leading pack and should be level only for a numpty linesman. If the lad keeps on going the way he is he will easy top 20 this season in the league which is all we can ask of a leading striker.his finishing is frustrating but if anything it highlights the need for a suitable partner to be found for him and carry half the can.
he's been fantastic for us and by a country mile our best player this season.
he got motm today and rightly so, it would be much better posting something positive about the lad rather than a negative quote from that once credible organisation.

The difference I'd have to say between his goals and other top scorers is that his tend to be relatively hard and well-worked goals, while RVP gets a lot of tap-ins and some pens, and Ba seems to do nothing all game and then randomly put the ball in the back of the net.  A lot of lucky goals coming from Newcastle.  Suarez had a good goal today, a free kick against city, a lot of shots from outside the box and I can't think of a tap-in he's had this season.  Even today the goal that didn't count was more than just a tap-in.

That today was one of his best performances in a red shirt.  Outstanding.

That said though, the challenge on Distin was nasty and looked deliberate to me the more times I watch it.  Could easily have seen him sent off on another day.  Rodgers needs to have a word with him behind closed doors about that because it will cost us points and gives the media, the opposition and the officials more reason to dislike him.

what makes the tackle deliberate?
Floyd stepped left and threw the hook that caught Hatton flush under the chin. Finally, the British champ had arrived in that mythical place of which his fans speak: Hatton Wonderland.

Only Suarez can tell you if it was deliberate.  It looked it though.  He's deliberately left his foot in, in my opinion, and he was lucky not to see red.

Mirallas should have been red carded for a tackle from behind on Allen first half too.

The officials were shocking today.

I didn't think his tackle was on purpose.  It kinda looked on purpose in slow motion, but not in real time. I think he was just cutting across trying to get his foot right on the inside of Distin so that he could potentially block the ball.  The fact that he immediately rose his hand and went to help Distin up is not something that somebody does a tackle like that no purpose, and then does.  If he tried to play innocent then it may have been on purpose, but he knew he fouled him, stopped chasing, and apologized.
