It doesnt please me being negative especially considering whos involved but I think we have gone about this all the wrong way. The T Shirt thing is well intended but under the circumstances poorly thought out. All this serves to do is have the club perceived as condoning racist language and they are just pouring more fuel on the fire every day. Liverpool always had a reputation for dealing with things quietly and in house but on this issue its thrown all that out the window and it surprises me. I know they are upset, but they should be more careful and ensure they at least keep the clubs reputation in tact but thats now in question after after lasts night T Shirt fiasco. Suarez is important, but its 1 player, and we shouldnt risk the clubs reputation on him, no matter how difficult that may be.

i think its all getting a bit much now. the lfc statement, the players' statement, the t-shirts, and now telling everyone about suarez's involvement in south africa. we have made our point and even the FA have agreed that they don't accuse him of being a racist. its obvious that the issue is he's being punished for stupidly using a term he shouldn't have, and we want to reduce the ban as much as we can. we should now just keep quiet and get on with the process away from the eyes of the media who are increasingly ridiculing the club.

i wonder how much of this theatre is more of a message to suarez than to anyone else. by showing him this much love and support we are showing how desperate we are to hang on to him.

surely the F.A thought about the repercussions when they decided their verdict and if they didnt then they really must be idiots.
the case conflicts itself throughout and the fact that they found him guilty is bad enough but to say he's guilty of racial abuse but he's not a racist is silly.surely you cant be one without the other.
if i was suarez i would never accept this charge.he's been unfairly treated here and been labelled a racist.

one thing that annoys me here is that suarez claimed that evra's own team mates call him negrito.
so far i havent seen anything coming from manure rd to deny those claims,or from the utd players either.and if they do call him that then it just shows that this was a witch hunt and a cheap pr excercise for the F.A.

to me calling someone a black kunt,white kunt,silly kunt,baldy kunt and ginger kunt are all the same and are just abusive not racist.

That's so idiotic, the FA never said that he was racist. Fcking stupid media, they'll make racists of the whole club. We have black people in our squad that even wore that kind of t-shirts for sake. the club statement: standing by their player, in the context of a 'word' he used with no derogatory racial conatations in his native speak and on his word, that this is the context he used it in

the judgement: served without reasons and evidence provided fuelling speculation and furore - not likely to be seen until mid-January

the players statement:  in the face of media headlines and the absence of a 'basis' - fuelling racist claims against Luis. Statement supports Luis' cultural based use of the word and that he is not a racist.

the T-shirts: supporting the individual and his being labelled. No regard to cultural basis of use of word being acknowledged.. the players and manager stand-by one of their own, who is being villified for use of a culutrally acceptable word, for him - 'he should know better'
