Remember that

good job they won the game otherwise they would have got slaughtered
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Roberto Carlos was sh!t free kick taker. He scored one fluke and then spend a decade kicking the ball into the wall, after a massive build up and the commentator creaming himself.

Platini or Zico are the best free kick takers ever.

hey! just like ronaldo!

Juninho should have about half of the all time top 10 covered, absolute fecking genius with a dead ball.

Del Piero used to be pretty tasty about a decade ago from set plays too.

Pirlo, Beckham Juan Roman Riquelme and Ronaldinho should all get honourable mentions too.

Plus anyone who played for Brazil between from 1970 onwards    :D

Whats your guys opinion on technique? The blast or the place? Im firmly behind the inside of the foot curler myself, no time for the Carlos/Branco/Ronaldo style of 30 yard run ups! (Though they look awesome when they crash in off of the underside of the bar!)

Does anyone remember Ronald Koeman for Barca and Holland (course you do, it was rhetorical)? He used to blast em and place em. Remember Brian Moores famous commentary when the beat England in the qualifers for USA 94 "He's gonna flick one now, hes gonna flick one, he's gonna flick one, AND ITS THERE!"

Free Kicks

Awesome.

The one where the lad scoops it backwards over his head for his teammate behind him to volley it in is ridiculous!!

   great stuff. love the one where about 4 of them run over the ball before it gets stuck in the net from 25 yards. and some of the those with a series of one-twos through the box are just beautiful to watch.
