For once i'm totally with Owzat.

O'Neil is a damn good manager. But he's not what we need. We need a great manager, someone who has won things at the highest level.

Benitez is the man. NOT MARTIN O'NEIL.

The hype is annoying. O'Neil ISN'T good enough.

Oh ye of little faith,,IT HAS TO BE O'NEILL
Ye'll all eat your words when he wins premiership in 2006 and Champions League in 2007....
He'll be as big as Paisley!! If we don't get him, Moan Utd will!! and we'll fall another 10 years behind.

Benitez seems to have ruled himself out .
Any chance you would leave Whiston Jnrs ( I know it's a wrench) and take the job ?

I'm happy with Mourinho or O'Neil .

Thing is Tosh, has an understanding of what the club and its fans need.He comes from the old school with a strong understanding of british and european football.I say give him a go,he is more qualified than most.

Sorry Mate, the gulf between Toshacks "old school" and todays LFC squad is too great. Not dissin' Tosh but sorry wrong time wrong place. Think about it.

I recall quite a few Liverpool fans predicting we'd win the Premiership with Houllier  ???  When I said to one ST holder that Houllier wouldn't win the Premiership he replied "won't you feel a tard if Houllier wins the Premiership" - who's the tard now?  :;):

my personal opinion is that if we get o'neill or MOURINHO then i'll be happy, but thats my own opinion

but at the end of the day, it doesn't matter what i think or whatever anyone else, noones right or wrong in their opinion, but you'll just have to see who they appoint and support the team and manager

i didn't support houllier when the last 2 yeares got stale, but thats only natural, and i was right, but i can't help but feel he should of been sacked last year when we finished 5th, it seems abit stupid to me

We need commitment.

For years, not just a season or two.

Benitez has hardly left Spain. He has a family who have hardly left Spain. I'm suprised he isn't moving to Real. That is the gamble with Benitez.

No-one would ever doubt Martin O'Neill's commitment. Or how successful he has been with the teams he has managed.
