I don't know if it was this thread but I reported that the first team players met at the Academy last friday and were given a short list. At the David Lloyd centre afterwards it was said that the players voted for Curbishley - ahead of everyone else.
I keep hearing (not from knobheads) that it is going to be Kenny on the board and McMahon on the dugout? ????

Whatever is being discussed or whoever are bring short-listed, I just hope that by the time Parry has enjoyed his holiday and returned to the office, the top three or four or five candidates will not have been snapped up by other clubs leaving us with alternative candidates.

it is not confroting to hear that our CEO is holidaying but "confident" that a manager will be hired within a month. This comes across as a rather lacadasical and very laid back attude as who ever is/are on the short-list "would surely jymp at the chance of managing such a prestiegious name as Liverpool."

I dearly hope that Parry and company are not taking this attitude because Liverpool may be missing on some really good candidates as the football season has ended and the managers' job should be tied up while these candidates are still around/available and as soon as possible.

BENITEZ

My view as non-brit but great supporter of EPL and LFC.
I have also followed La Liga. My fav: Barca and Valencia.
Why Beni? Since Cuper, Valencia was already a good team. Quality wise better than present. Than it was Mandieta and Gerard, many ventures towards european glory but still success eludes them.
In came Beni whom instilled consistency, not found in LFC now, and the culture he gave to his team that see Valencia as the team to be wary of in any game. I'll like LFC have that aura and I want all the teams to tremble in fear of our power.
Beni will create the consistency and he will groom a new breed of current players to form an invincible LFC team. Cheers

I think we should get in Rafael Beitez from Valencia, he looks good.

Sorry. My fault. I was looking through the archives and found this and wanted to see how well Benitez did. But it is interesting to look back on this time and find this.
